considering what foles had to work with I think he did a hell of a job. he had to run the offense with nelson working as the number 1 this week , of course Ertz was there but the running game has been mediocre so far. wentz has his work cut out for him foles isn't the reason we having problems on offense. if he thinks he gonna step in where foles leaves off he better hit the ground running.

Wentz's mobility at least makes the RPOs more of a threat now.

Not saying Wentz wont be rusty out of the gates tho :hubie:

Its been raining all morning and from what im looking at its gonna be raining all day. With Carson out there Im thinking Ertz will get more looks downfield and Nelson will get plenty of chances to catch it short and pile up YAC. Goedert better get some fukkin play time. If not some designed plays to get him involved he better be getting some block and release stuff to protect Carson.

Fam....if you in the Delaware Valley and you ain't gettin your bread and baked goods from Liscio's, you bein cheated. That's the ONLY thing I miss about home (besides hearing Lady B on the radio).

The Philly/SouthNJ/Del area has THE BEST bread in the NATION. PERIOD.

But you're right about Ertz and Goedert....I posted this in the other thread earlier this week, but the Eagles are aware of the fact that they need stronger TE play:

Eagles admit they need to utilize Goedert

With the Philadelphia Eagles dealing with a banged-up wide receiver corps, you'd think a pass catching second-round tight end would be more involved. Through two weeks, you'd be wrong.

Dallas Goedert, the No. 49 overall pick, has played just 32 total offensive snaps through two weeks, per Next Gen Stats. During Sunday's loss in Tampa Bay, the rookie played zero fourth-quarter snaps on offense despite the Eagles being in comeback-mode.

Heading into the Week 3 tilt versus the Indianapolis Colts, Philly coaches admitted they need to get Goedert more involved.

"We have a talented player in Dallas, and we need to find more ways to get him involved," offensive coordinator Mike Groh said earlier this week, via the team's official website. "We need to get him involved more. We had some extenuating circumstances the other day, for a variety of reasons. He just wasn't in there in the spots where we were getting the ball to. We're going to continue to try to monitor that and make sure that he is going to help us win games here."

When Mike Wallace went down versus Tampa, the Eagles surprisingly turned to backup tight end Josh Perkins. Coach Doug Pederson explained after the loss that the team believed that as a former wide receiver, Perkins could better fill the hole.

With Carson Wentz's return, the Eagles could look to more two-tight-end sets, with Goedert playing alongside Zach Ertz.

The rookie said he'll be ready whenever his number called.

"Whether they put me in or not, I'm going to be ready," Goedert said. "I prepare all week to play. I want to be out there, but the coach has the team's best interests in mind."

With the injuries at receiver -- Wallace and Mack Hollins on injured reserve, Alshon Jeffery still dealing with a shoulder injury -- it would be a surprise if the Eagles didn't utilize Goedert more moving forward, especially in the red zone. The coaching staff admitted as much this week.

Defense is so garbage this year e

i think they are decent we ar #1 against the run...our only weak link this year so far is mills but im not mad at the aggressiveness of the DBs to come up and stop short passes and runs with sure tackles...

we are holding Luck to 10 pts it's our offense that is struggling we have no receivers :snoop: relying on tight ends ...our top receivers are out and nelson can't get any seperation...mathews is nowhere to be found.....smh..

We need Alshon and mike wallace back ASAP im tight we didn't go after josh gordon
