I rarely see undersized centers be good rim protectors unless they are supreme athletes. Not sure what people were expecting.
Who are his perimeter defenders?
Yes, he is.Jokic is an undersized center?
At one point he had KCP and Gary Harris before the injuries who a beast defensively and he still struggled with rim protector.Who are his perimeter defenders?
KCP is a good defender though. But anyway, all I’ve seen online this year are Nuggets fans complaining that their perimeter defenders are awful. That said, Jokic has never been a stalwart rim protector and merely passable at best. I haven’t watched the Nuggets enough this year to diagnose the issue, but I’m going to guess part of it is perimeter defence and part of it is Jokic. At one point he had KCP and Gary Harris before the injuries who a beast defensively and he still struggled with rim protector.
None of this isn't new or surprising.
I saw him run away from the ball in crunch time to a play in Miami Heat team. He's not in those talksThis is why Giannas has been the best player in the league for years and its not close.
He's a decent defender when he's not asked to guard the rim.
Now he's undersized. I've seen it all...................I rarely see undersized centers be good rim protectors unless they are supreme athletes. Not sure what people were expecting.
He's under 7ft and can barely jump over a sheet of paper.
I think this is just our age difference. You gen z fans are used to a bunch of 6'10 6'11 centers starting for every team now and think that is the traditional size. Now he's undersized. I've seen it all...................
Ya got it man
That’s not what I said. What I said is that can at times be average on defense when he’s not asked to guard the rim.
ARE YOU IMPLYING
HE CAN GUARD THE PERIMETER?
WHERE ELSE IS HE
SUPPOSED TO GUARD?
Really could’ve ended the thread right hereDefense good enough to be an anchor for a championship team
