I rarely see undersized centers be good rim protectors unless they are supreme athletes. Not sure what people were expecting.
He's under 7ft and can barely jump over a sheet of paper.

At one point he had KCP and Gary Harris before the injuries who a beast defensively and he still struggled with rim protector.

None of this isn't new or surprising.
KCP is a good defender though. But anyway, all I’ve seen online this year are Nuggets fans complaining that their perimeter defenders are awful. That said, Jokic has never been a stalwart rim protector and merely passable at best. I haven’t watched the Nuggets enough this year to diagnose the issue, but I’m going to guess part of it is perimeter defence and part of it is Jokic.

I think this is just our age difference. You gen z fans are used to a bunch of 6'10 6'11 centers starting for every team now and think that is the traditional size.
In my day people that size were power forwards. and most bigs were 7ft +
