That is his opinion. Truth be told, most people in the corporate world will not make it past mid management. Most people are not even in management positions to boot. In addition, most people who work will not climb the corporate ladder.

If he was talking about someone running for POTUS, then I would agree. In the white or blue collar world, the majority of people who make a livable wage/salary are quite content with their situation because it provides stability and security.

Lastly, one will never be rich working for someone else, not to mention, the glass ceiling does exist for BM, so Brehs with the hustler spirit will have to create their own ventures and take risks.

Being a married man doesn’t mean said man has a strong worth ethic no more or less than a man who chooses to be single. If anything, people need to learn how to keep their personal life separate from their professional life.

Men who work in corporate america know that your wife can be one of your biggest assets when networking.:sas2:
If she's charming, attractive, and gets along well with the wives of senior leadership it can be a big boost to your career.:sas1:

Will never pass mid level management or will stay stagnant

Corporate world does not respect a 40 year old single men

Any truth to what he is saying?

Fred.
He’s right now the question is once you are married is your wife adding value or is she subtracting?

Hell
He's mostly right pre covid and pre liberal uprising but these days he's not correct. This ain't 1995.

Dudes never get married nor have kids making big money doing IT.

Maybe he's speaking traditional upper management or fields like doctors and lawyers but slot of jobs pay well that you don't need to be seen like that for that speculation to take place.

This may change as more millennials get into top corporate roles but as it currently stands (with Gen X and Baby Boomers in those positions), there is a lot of truth to it

This is wishful thinking. If you look at the income/wealth breakdowns by ethnicity, Indians & Asians are likely at the top of the food chain. These groups are also more traditional in terms of marriage.

they also practice group economics the most though. marriage is not the only factor.

:sas2:

and the income/wealth breaksdown like that because the immigrant generation pushes their kids into the medical field, so it's not even really a corporate thing. most the asians/indians i've encountered in the corporate world work on the IT side anyway.
