Again, you're one of these johnny-come-latelys. I 100% agree with that. But, you came in here calling $60K "broke" (now you want to pull back to make a new argument).
"Kid and overweight" isn't the female version of "$60k for a male." You, again, just wanna make women's arguments about KS and it's just as bad an argument.

I kept making the argument men at the level have their expectations in check. But, you make the false assumption a "kid and overweight" is the most a man making a humble salary (again, I acknowledge that it is average--just not broke) can expect out of a woman.
"Kid and overweight" are both (generally) bad choices from women that ain't worrying about being someone's wife.
There's plenty of women without either in the range of an average (keyword average--I agree with that) man.

Now of you plan on being solo and not marrying then 60k is okay..
But raising a family wife and kids you need to be scratching 100k combined at least 80k

The bolded are some requirements to be middle class.
For context from my perspective there's broke, working class, middle class, upper middle class and rich.
Calling 60k broke when the majority live fine on it without extras is reaching is all, especially saying you need 100k to raise a family. The working class are the majority of families.

Honestly what kind of quality of life do you want to have....60k on a solo trip is solid, puts you right in the middle...team up with a solid 6 women who makes 50-60k your whole lifestyle will be upgraded and you'll have money left over. So even if 60k isnt alot you pair that with a women earning similar you in the game.
I still stand by 60k is not alot at all. But makes it more important for you to find a women with a good job that you can build with.

I think he’s saying $60k is broke if you have a wife and multiple kids to take care of, in that case I agree.
A single man with no kids making $60k is doing real good for himself, even better depending of which region he stays in.

Lete keep it 100, the working class is usually one to 2 missed paychecks from disaster.
Middleclass is usually 2 incomes so you got more wiggle room to grow or to overcome the loss of one income until the other recovers.
Now the upper middle class...which is probably where I'm at now goes 140k and up, usually 2 incomes or one person with a really really good job where the women can be a stay at home wife an you can still maintain a good job.
Now back to the 60k...you can maintain with 60k but can you really "get ahead".
Now of your comfortable at that level...then fine, but you lose your right to complain about what you dont have and not being able to get ahead.
At 60k is should be alot easier to break the glass ceiling.
If you listen to kevin you should be working 60hr weeks...which should bring in an extra 15-20k year, that's puts you in the top 20% of earners
So it depends on how hard you wanna work and how desperate your are to get ahead an elevate your lifestyle
