The funny thing is My dad was one of them 'I want black Grand kids types', while my mom was the one who was like she doesn't care who I'm with as long as I am happy and the woman treats me well.

Yea, my folks are that way. Well, my mom is now. My dad has switched up completely, and when we have our talks, just tells me to find a woman that makes you happy.

My stance has changed a bit over the past year or so. My preference will always be a black woman, but if I find love in a woman that’s not like me, then I won’t run from it. Maybe it’s the therapy, and really seeing everything around me with a different lens, but I just want peace and happiness. I put in the work, and still work hard. I’ve gotten to a place most would dream about. I deserve that.

you need to travel breh lol. We often get stuck in our bubbles plus holding on to a fantasy that isn't real. I think God I made it out my LTRs with no damage, but a ton of brehs aint lucky, so I thank God for teaching me the lessons I've learned and sparing me. Kev made a good point that alot of brehs aint even against being open minded, but more so dont even know how to talk to non black/folks from other cultures. IMO it speaks volumes on our conditioning as men, where we dont even realize we are men and dictate culture, we come to woman on some servant stuff where we only want a master to serve that we are familiar with, when in reality we are men, where ever we step is our kingdom and we dictate what is or is not allowed.
