Successful ole heads I've met have not lived a life like that once they got into their career. You'll hear I've been doing engineering 30+ years, I got a phd in statistics because I wanted to do something different.

Working at a restaurant in your 30s while claiming to have a successful career no. If I showed up to a restaurant trying to get a interview I wouldn't make it very far. Why are you here?
