Here's the thing though.... Owens is one guy that really don't have any complaints or shouldn't. Maybe he'd rather just be with some of his old buddies but creative has not failed him..

He reached the level or arguably higher in WWE of what he's worth. Salute to anyone who wanna try something different career wise tho
Him or Charlotte are treated well enough....

Guys like KO, Andrade, Aleister Black, Adam Cole.. are not gonna bring in anymore viewers than they already have. Even Punk only brought them a slight bump and the shine is gone now, already back to where they were before him.

Will be interesting to see how the numbers do with DB. We’ll find out in a couple days.

So his contract was restructured because of the pandemic

Wwe should be glad they locked up shinsuke and cesaro this year. Jeff hardy signed an extension last September, ricochet signed in 2019 but his could have been restructured too.

Someone pointed it out though, why would he tease jumping to aew 5 months before his contract is up? Does he wanna be a jobber for the remainder of his run? Maybe a tactic to get max amount of dollars? Maybe he done don't give a shyt? :russ:

But if I'm wwe Im focusing on homegrown talent. Austin theory, montez Ford, big e, omos, bordeaux, liv morgan, Rhea Ripley, carmelo hayes, odyssey jones

Do any of these guys have that kinda pull. Steen is better than most of the guys who go to AEW and he actually has decent size and he's excellent on the mic but does he really move the pendulum?

Here's what's gonna happen. Vince is cutting talent because he knows the price of the brick just went up. I expect minimum contracts to be 1 mill in a few years.

They're gonna have to break the bank on someone they don't want to for the flood gate to open. Owen's might be that guy.

His dream has always been to work for the E. He’s just trying to get more money and a push. He ain’t going nowhere

He'd be a fool to leave if we're being honest. A lot of those guys and gals looking to jump ship to AEW will be in for a rude awakening when they get there and realizing that they will be in the exact same situation as if they were in the WWE. The money just isn't there to sign everyone that will be released (contrary to popular belief) and there just isn't enough screentime for everyone to go around and be happy.

The majority of these signings just aren't going to move the needle like that ratings wise to justify the costs and get the ROI.

No.. but i think AEW needed to improve their roster. They had a few name people and some guys/women with potential but they still had some "too indy" type dudes in prominent positions..

Adding guys like Owens, Black and Andrade helps out their depth chart tremendously.

It’s not about one guy. When you have a stacked roster with talent, that brings in people too.

Look at a lot of these posters that gave up on Wrasslin years ago. AEW is bringing them back with the recent additions of Punk and Danielson. It’ll only continue as AEDub rolls on into 2022.
