you mean hogun made them cool.

nwo would not have worked unless hogun turned and used his political juice with bischoff.

nash was not running shyt.
plus when he got to run it.

he deflected all his errant booking decisions on someone else.

dude is a tall chicken legged't moron.

all of the clit are goofball cluck lame clowns with substance abuse issues.

They needed Hogan in the NWO because he was a bigger name. I will give you that. But everyone knows that Hogan was on a downward spiral. People were getting fed up of him.

And this is why he turned heel and by aligning himself with Nash and Hall it made him cool and gave him a fresh look.

Hogan wasnt going to make anyone cool back then. Stop it breh.

The outsiders had that swag about them.

:dead: at Nash's bogus claims. Dude is in denial. He's the most un-athletic big man of the Attitude Era that mattered, yea it was because of injuries but :yeshrug: He had to get carried in the select good matches that he had, yet he seems to get an unwarranted pass when it comes to that.

And of course him and Hall were bigger than Stone Cold and Rock when the whole ordeal went down in Daytona Beach, it was in 1996 a FULL YEAR before Austin and Rock began to breakout and become major players. The Rock was still Rocky Maivia in 96'.

Once Austin hit his stride in 97' and Rock a year later in 98', it's not even close as into who was bigger.

And yea, you could say that they were the most popular out of the NWO, but all of that stems from their alliance with Hogan. If those two did all that hostile takeover shyt without Hogan, it wouldn't even still be talked about today in the same magnitude. Hogan was pulling that entire train.

you are forgetting that hall and nash were no draws in wwf, when they left.
they needed hogun, period.
as real talk, if they did not have hogun.
to politically put them in the untouchable zone.
to move the product as whole from workrate extensive.
their workrate would have exposed them, and the nwo would have flopped.

the nwo only worked because of hogun's inclusions, contract and workflows of operation.

if the nwo never had that connection and braintrust.

hall and nash would have flopped.

Y'all are really underestimating how popular Kev and Hall were in 97-99

They were big time characters but that was from 1996-1998 and they were never bigger than Austin in 1998 or beyond. They definitely never were bigger than the Rock after 1999 at any point ever in any year of their careers. Just Nash being Nash.

As for how it all got to working? It was a sign of the times. Hall was still red hot under his Razor guise and fans thought the WWF was invading. The Hogan heel turn promo at the Bash is one of the greatest money promos of all time though. It worked after that went down the way it did.

The NWO angle was huge but Nash is acting like him and Hall were bigger than the angle itself...

This. It was the Hogan turn/NWO angle/takeover itself that had them over.

Best believe if Hall and Nash just came in as some tag team their pops would have not even exceeded Too Cool. :heh:

Nash's :troll: game is impeccable though.

From 1996-when Austin started to get hot, I can see Nash saying that. After WM 14 when Austin first won the WWF title though, :rudy: Besides, what got that nWo angle off the ground and running for real was Hogan turning heel and people thinking that Vince really sent them to WCW to take it over.
