Those who are completely writing off the international competition as exhibition status are bugging. Imagine the point disparity that a random NBA team would face if they had to play a team with Kobe, Lebron, Melo, CP3, Deron Williams etc. For example, the Bobcats or something. They would get smashed.
The Bobcats are an NBA team though, far above exhibition level. These international teams (in some cases) are top tier talent with top tier coaching. Spain's passing, player movement, and three point shooting was phenomenol. They also played with a ton of passion and solidarity.
Some of these international teams would give NBA teams the business on the court. Don't forget that America missed out on a few gold medal opportunities due to the same arrogance that some of you are displaying.
