Kevin is real life funny but his stand up has become absolutely horrible

It's crazy to me how funny and engaging he can be in interviews, but be so terrible at standup. He's usually a dope storyteller in interviews, how can he not adapt that to his standup?

It wasn't as bad as expected. But it's still pretty mediocre. Found myself on my phone during the second half of it. He's just an average stand up comedian at this point, nothing clever or new. Just updated family stories... He just stays in his comfort zone which is ironic considering the title.


It made me wonder, has there been a comedian who has had big success doing movies but yet stayed sharp when it comes to their stand up? I think about Eddie Murphy, Chris Tucker, etc and their stand up career basically ended when their movies started doing numbers

Saw the whole thing.


The first 30-35 mins was actually good. When he went into apologizing to the “plant based community” and talked about his daughter potentially being a Hoe, those were genuinely funny bits.


Also talking about his side pieces leaving him when the sex tape leaked was funny too.


After that it lagged, like he had run out of things to talk about. The “Bop” pizza shyt was almost unbearable.


I personally think if he would have mined more of his thoughts and feelings regarding his celebrity and how people react to him based off of that he would have had a more original, fresh, perspective to explore.

His show with his homeboys every Tuesday and thursday on Sirius is my shyt though. They even roast his ass about him towing a PC line at times not to fukkup the money. nikka even joked "that's why I have yall nikkaz here to say the shyt I can't a lot of the time!!!". But that version of Kevin on the show >>> the last few standups EASY. It's natural and unfiltered and free flowing with jokes and fukkery.

this show needs to be 5 days a week, shyt is funny as hell. Hell, make it 2 days with Kev, 3 without because the other PCBs can hold the show just as well without him. It was a trip how lukewarm they all were about this special when he asked them about it last ep....they were scared to say the truth so as not to fuk up their Hart paychecks, but deep down they hinted it was hot garbage.
