Where do you draw the line?
Something as large as target is acceptable? Starbucks is not? What about McDonald's or burger king, buffalo wild wings or Applebee's.

These are business that routinely have people in an out not like using a random bathroom at an h&r block tax office or a business office.

Devils Advocate for a moment considering the woman in Pittsburgh manhandled by the Arab pizza shop manager. That manager was criticized for taking matters into his own hands instead of calling the police to handle. One of the arguments made was that he would have never put his hands on a man like he did that woman and so he should have called police.

In this case the Starbucks manager did call police after the two men who weren't buying anything refused to leave. Granted that manager didn't use common sense and sound judgement. He could have acquiesced and let them use the restroom and wait for whomever they were to meet there. Still though, he asked them to leave and they refused. Why not step outside the store then file a complaint, go to social media or whatever. Was it raining or something? The officers came and they still wouldn't leave. The irony of getting arrested by a Black officer at that.

I'm sorry but I think all the parties involved sans the police acted retarded in this instance.

...I briefly thought about this when the original thread broke the story...

Wasn't everyone on here all in another thread just a while back when the Arab store manager put hands on a black woman refusing to leave...stating that if he wanted her out, he should have just called the cops?

Now that we have that exact situation, people are all up in arms about it.

And I'm not saying what happened at Starbucks was right...I'm just making a note of it for the sake of argument

Exactly. I'd love to hear why people think the ENTIRE corporation should be held responsible for one manager's decision. As far as I know there's no pattern of incidence here where this keeps happening at Starbucks with no repercussions. Folks getting way too emotional.

But I don't see that as saying don't boycott Starbucks. He's just not calling for a boycott of Starbucks because he sees the issue with the individual manager in this instance rather than a systematic failure of Starbuck's from the top level.

Still though, im never setting foot in a Starbucks even to use their toilet.

shyt I've seen a party of 6 black people get asked to leave an Applebee's and they were just hungry patrons. A hostess gave them a table and a manager came over like "yeah we can have you wait at the bar and get your food to go but we can't have you sit in and eat........."

This was in 2004 before cellphone recording was the wave. I know why they did it, they know why they did it.....
