I agree. Dave hasn’t been funny in years. His show was probably some of the best television ever created. His recent stand-ups did not have me laughing at all.

Kevin came out at the right time where there was a sort of void when it came to Black comedians. He has made the most of his success and is now a household name. Not gonna hate on a brother making Jim Carrey money.

I don't consider social media skits comedy though. It's easy to be funny on a 15 second pre recorded skit. It's not easy being funny in front of thousands.

Right now it's sad to say but Kevin Hart has the game on lock in terms of making the most money / business moves. He has captured all audiences not just black. He's likeable and has the studios on the palm of his hands. Plus he's managed to stay out of trouble and gossip sites. Someone said it right he is truly the LeBron of comedy. Before him it was Eddie Murphy. Then there's the real true comedy geniuses like Chapelle and Katt who have a little crazy in them and fade away from the limelight here and there.

No one else is as prolific as Kevin Hart last 10-11 years. He has no competition as Top Black Male Comedian. Has anyone gone a week in 10yrs not seeing him in a commercial, show, movie, special, award show, sports something, game show something, lol network sitting in a cold tub?

Cosby was that guy from the mid 60s until 84,85 …whenever Eddie really showed up.

During that time Cosby had multiple undeniable classics in different mediums (Stand-up,TV,Film)


Let’s give Eddie 85-97 12 years ..you give a year to Martin somewhere in there .

You can’t say Kevin Hart has zero competition when Dave Chappelle’s specials were causing chaos 2-3 years ago ..Dave has to get a couple years from that alone during Kevin’s “era”. If both Dave and Kevin dropped highly rated specials on Netflix right now Dave would outdraw him .



The commercials,sports shyt just is pointing to his work ethic..not his unchallenged status because if Dave wanted to do the same he’d be in just as much demand .


You never see Joe Rogan doing anything outside of his podcast ..is he not one of if not the most popular dude running it right now along with Burr,Chappell and Hart?
