Kevin Hart is like the Seinfeld of Black Comedians
Not funny but respected and has all the cake and power
I must have missed this very disrespectful post. Seinfeld is a legend and is hella funny....even for a white comedian.
You can definitely see the teleprompter in some videos. I remember seeing teleprompters in a Dane Cook special. He seemed to be peeking down at it from time to time to stay on track.
I could have sworn I've seen one at a Dave Chappelle special as well.
I don't blame them for having one if they do. It's A LOT of material to memorize and you have to be able to jump right back in if some bozo throws you off track.
Kevin just seemed unnatural as hell from the jump to me.
Like he was trying to "act like Kevin Hart" instead of just standing up there and delivering the punches more like a conversation.
Don’t disrespect the Gawd Chappelle like that fam.
Most comedians know their shyt inside and out because for a year to two years, they’ve been telling the same jokes at their shows sometimes twice a night. That shyt is like second nature to them by the time they tape a special.
Kevin hart toured this special to 150 city arenas. That’s after spending a year and a half performing the material in front of small comedy clubs and theaters. (That’s alot of work for a crap show, but he put in the work, I highly doubt he was using a TelePrompTer)
By the way,his writers(plastic cup boys) are performing at the DC Improv. Anyone ever seen them live?
