I wonder if Durant's decision to move to the Warriors is partially as a result of the Harden trade. When those dudes went to their first Finals everyone saw them winning or at least competing for several more cahmpionships, easily. They were the most talented core in a generation.

When Harden got traded I'm pretty sure Durant still felt like he would be competing for titles just as if nothing had changed. But years later with no Finals appearances since, the harsh reality of what he really lost when they traded Harden is only now soaking in.

Durant was then at a crossroads, to wait on another man to make a decision so that they could possibly stay together, or forge a new destiny by reclaiming the thrill of high expectations. Durant chose the latter and I think the talent and coaching of GS was too big of a lure for a guy wanting to grow.

People don't take into consideration how big a factor good coaching and team chemistry play in a player's growth. Him and Russ just didn't have it with OKC, and going to some other team with similar problems (Lakers) just meant he'd be wasting more time on an uncertain prospect.

The Warriors are definitely beatable with Durant as they are still a jump shooting team and injury can clearly hamper him and Curry. But for Durant I think he now knows exactly what he wants because of what he lost in Harden.

This seems kind of bad for the NBA.

All the legit stars are going to be on a handful of teams.
So many games are going to be blowouts.
I think it'll help the other teams grow more actually

It's hard to build up a team when u got dudes like durant and lebron carrying bums to 60 win seasons, where u gonna get draft picks/young talent? They just end up throwing money at :flabbynsick: vets and hope it works out and it never does

Superteams just makes watching the younger teams scrapping it out with each other more interesting to watch imo and they actually have the chance to grow because they don't have to defer to a superstar teammate and they also have less pressure because everyone already knows who's goi g to the finals

fukk. These nikkas got Steph, KD, Klay and Draymond. It's gone be ugly for the league. How can you defend against all those shooters?
I think length and pounding the glass is what it will take to beat them.

The Milwaukee bucks will be blueprint on how to beat GS

Is Bron the biggest winner after KD's decision?

Not only has Durant joining the Warriors justified "The Decision" it also completely takes the pressure off him & the Cavs next year. Beating a 73 win already cemented him as a Top 3 player of all time if he somehow beats a Warriors team consisting of 4 players Top 2 in their respective positions (it ain't happening :dead:) A LOT of people will be putting him in the convo with MJ & rightfully so.

After being the NBA's villain for years he's suddenly the hero now.

Green ain't top 2 at his position though.

I really want to see how the media covers this
GS is the nba darling team but on the other hand that stephen a. video is how a great deal of fans(mostly lebron fanatics) feel about the move
If they burn his jersey in OKC it won't mean as much because KD is not the star of the NBA like Lebron
