Wtf going on with bruh?

Disappointment. The move he made to leave the team and fanbase that rode with him for so long to join the team that BEAT him comes with a high price. The man was expecting to get that ring and be showered with respect and more.

Instead, he had to fund and direct his own documentary about his 'path to his first ring' instead of sports stations doing them for him all offseason like when Lebron, Dirk and Kobe won rings. He had this whole celebration built up in his head but he didn't get it. Even the media slammed his documentary as a "pity party" and called it bad form; then joked on him for jumping ship in his prime.

This nikka been bugging all offseason because none of this shyt turned out the way he wanted. The dream of having that 'legacy' is gone and he knows it. He will always be viewed as the dude that jumped to a stacked team in his prime to win.

so the next logical question is can he ever redeem his legacy and have peace with himself? i think so, but maybe not at gs.

for example you can tell the weight that was lifted from lebron when the cavs won their title. all the villany and hate he got for going to south beach was washed away like god himself baptised him.

for kd to get that feeling i don't think he has to go back to okc per se, but i don't think it can happen on gs.

It's interesting how this extreme sensitivity to outside criticism doesn't seem to impact his performance on the floor. If anything it's made him better over the years

From that Mr unreliable headline, returning to OKC where you figured he'd be rattled by the hostile environment, facing the guy he idolizes in the Finals with the world rooting against him and shredding the matchup in historic fashion. Looking forward to how he responds to all this throughout the season

Easy to do that when you join a 71 win team...the fukk did you expect him to do?

man he thought he dropped some piff with that one
