That's exactly how I felt about the Tupac movie, unless they Dune that bytch where you tell it in two parts
Saw the Marley movie and even though they focused on a specific time period, they still tried to touch on a lot of stuff and it was just a bunch of jumping around.

Assassination attempt
Living in the UK
Recording of Exodus
His introduction to Rastafari
Tour and resulting new found fame
Relationship with Rita
His affairs
Dispute with label
Money being stolen by manager
Cancer
Musical start in Jamaica with the Wailers
The impact of not knowing his father
Unrest in Jamaica
Peace concert

The flick was never gonna be good, family too involved and their #1 goal is just to protect their brand and reputation.

I like the idea of a miniseries because capturing a person's whole life in 90-180 minutes still isn't enough. I'm one of the few that actually respected what they tried(and ultimately failed) to do with the Mike Tyson series.

Nobody has yet to top or even really match the jacksons miniseries but maybe finally we may get something on that level

Goin a miniseries route with Richard might be the smartest idea :ehh:

As long as Kenya is real with his depiction and not on some PG13 shyt, I'm in.
You sure you want this in a Richard Pryor biopic :dame:

Going to be rated B for Bussy :dame:

Because Blackish was excellent and made a ton of money.

We don’t like Kenya now? I don’t get the memo about that.
He’s a very limited storyteller, all his shows have been weaker versions of blackish and his obsession with mixed people and casting fair skinned/biracial girls/women is embarrassing, I say that as a light skin woman.

Everything can’t be a home run. You people was pretty good and I’m loving Vince Staples show.

I’ll admit the show where he is playing himself was ass cheeks.

Point being, he’s a competent storyteller. nikkas are acting like he is some bum of the street with no credentials.

Your opinion. Kenya has shown me he’s not, just like Lena waithe, they are very limited in their ability to tell stories, it’s the same theme repackaged. and absolutely nothing about Kenya’s writing or humor has shown me he’s the voice that should be helming a Richard Pryor project, not unless he recruits and allows a lot of OG comedians to contribute.
