@GoonieToons As far as Gibbs being a rat

Former NYC crack king reflects on life of murder, money, women and guns at height of drug epidemic

"After he was arrested on drug conspiracy charges, detectives bombarded the federal prosecutors with claims that Gibbs was responsible for dozens of murders, Ponzi said.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Leslie Caldwell then brought in Ponzi to get the record straight, he said.

"They had attributed a murder a day to him, but that was way out of proportion," he said. "I told them to take a deep breath."

Gibbs agreed to cooperate with the investigation in exchange for a lesser sentence.

"He was quick to volunteer," Ponzi said. "We never caught him in a single lie. He somehow never got on the witness stand, so he hasn't been outed like many others."

Gibbs, who has an extraordinary ability to recall names, addresses and details, was key to the case, and subsequently became a source whom Ponzi relied to learn about the operations of gangsters across north Brooklyn, he said.

"He was responsible for helping cause the demise of the Fat Cat organization," he said. "He was one of the first upper echelon cooperators against them. He's a really bad guy, but those guys killed a parole officer and a police officer."

The federal prosecutors initially weren't going to charge him with the homicides, but the Queens and Brooklyn district attorneys objected so forcefully that he was also obliged to plead guilty to the five murders and two attempted murders, Ponzi said.

His cooperation was valuable enough that prosecutors spoke on his behalf at the sentencing, he said."

Just because someone never takes the stand doesn't make them less of a rat, he cooperated so well the feds were going to let him walk on 5 murders, 2 attempted murders and drug conspiracy charges if the Queens and Brooklyn D.A's hadn't intervened.
If you think all he told on were dead men I don't know what to tell you :gucci:
Oh word:dame:

I know Lou...he's not talking out his ass. Ask anybody from St. Nick that lived through that time about Lou and they will tell you he was wilder than Po.

Thing with ya'll nikkas is that ya'll love to read shyt and watch movies and fall in love with the story. Po was a wild boy but there was a million dudes during that time that was wilder. Dudes kill me talking all this wild "ooohhh...nikkas is scared of Po, they better watch their mouth" shyt. This nikka Glaze was wilder than Po.
I don’t doubt Lou was wild am just saying he’s making out like alpo is some square or sumshyt ... that’s where 100% don’t believe and believe he’s just going off his bad feelings towards alpo about the rich porter situation ..... also Lou was talking shyt wen he said az was just a. Civilian so it’s ok he snitched basically cause he didn’t talk or act gangsta ... az was a drug dealer he wasn’t no civilian.....

Po is a killer

Lou was wild, but Po was cut throat and calculated. You don't rise to the heights he did without putting people in the dirt. We all know what happened to Lou when he came up against the YTC. People talk shyt behind Alpo's back, but then they see him they want to take a pic with him for the gram lol. I think if G Lou and Po ever meet again they will be cordial, they share history.
What happened to Lou wen he met with ytc?? Am not into gangster lous story like that so peep me up on what happened ... i agree with you Lou making it seem like alpo is soft or a square which is him talking nonesense ... again that’s just him in his feeling about alpo killing rich porter .... also I don’t find Lou to be a humble cat bigging himself up all the time with his hype man everything he says ....

Not arguing with u but .... never heard no crew stronger then them 2 in that area .....even your boy glaze says preacher crew was easily 1 ov the most dangerous crew “to ever walk the pathment of nyc “ was his words n that’s coming from a wild cat himself so il take his words ....

Lou never implied Alpo was a square. He said Alpo was not as live as y'all want so bad to believe and told him to pull up. Bet you Alpo won't pull up on him.

Also y'all forgetting that Lou got this energy towards Po cause he heard he was talking slick shyt about him. It wasn't the Po and Rich shyt.

Preacher was down the hill....Dealing with Black people.....Washington Heights was a totally different world.

You think Preacher was really going up the hill fukking with the Dominicans?:mjlol:

Where do u think everyone went to get their cocaine? You had to go up the hill to get the cocaine. That was Dominican territory. There's a reason why CNN who are from Queens came all the way to Harlem and did their "Ya'll Dont Wanna" video on 145th and Broadway. I know why but obviously you dont. In the Purple City Byrdgang" video...there's a reason why they put the camera on 151st and Amsterdam. Up the hill was coke city....Those Dominicans were on some other shyt too.....That real Nino Brown shyt.....they tapped into my moms phone line twice and she had to straighten out with the phone companty that the calls to DR that was in the thousands was not of her doing.....Preacher was down the hill....Up the hill is a totally different world. You talking this 'preacher crew was easily 1 ov the most dangerous crew “to ever walk the pavement of nyc “...Was Preacher terrorizing and extorting the Gambino family? :russ:

I dno man in the interview he expressed it like dam alpo why you do that to rich wen it’s at the worse possible time , that’s not the first time I’ve heard Lou show his feelings towards po about the rich porter situation so u can’t tell that isn’t 1 ov the reasons he feels a certain way ... him talking shyt is just the icein on the cake ...I never said alpo was the wildest cat runnin around at the time ... n I think your trippin abit Lou did say clearly in queensflip that alpo himself had did nothing/put no work in himself on the streets go back n watch ... that’s where I said Lou was going off his feelings rather then been real ....

Glaze was a wild cat himself I don’t think he even likes preacher n them like that he’s just been honest n real ... even gangster Lou altho he didn’t know that said they was a “terror wen they were around “ I mean they did commit something like 50-80 murders all in all remember they only had about 20 members at the most in preachers crew .... am not talking about no Dam cosa Nostra... they had about 100 - 200 members that’s way different they definitely were more violent...

I cant say about LK......DDP was defiantly a factor around the time I lived up the hill but where my location was "La Familia" was the name ringing the loudest.

LK as a name was ringing along with the first time I ever heard of Decepticons in the late 80's.... First time I ever met a LK was 92.... this kid in my class.....he rocked the beads and I asked him what they stood for. I remember he used to wear a "Free Huey" button too. He wasn't a show out either...he was short, wore glasses was low key, stern and didnt take no shyt. He wasnt one of my closest friends but we were always cordial with each other. Around that time I remember hearing in the streets of LKs mostly beefing with Zulus. Me myself I was surrounded by elders who looked down on all that street shyt. Personally I always felt a type of way seeing cats get heart when they rolling deep. My beefs as a teen were usually with individuals who always wanted to escalate shyt by getting a bunch of people when i prefered to just deal with the individual so I always felt a type of way seeing cats affiliate themselves with crews knowing thats where they would get their heart. Rarely was there a situation where I could just deal with the individual one on one without him having to get others involved. Thats one of the many things I always hated about the streets as a teen.

Exactly...I threw that Gambino shyt in the mix to explain to you that things were territorial. In the 80's/90's there was a movie theater right on 147th and Broadway right next to what used to be KFC. When you called the theater to see what was playing a recording of a Dominican wit a strong accent was telling you what was playing....Wasnt no whiteman with a happy voice. They owned that movie theater. They owned all the long distance call shops on the Broadway strip and they were mostly fronts. As a teen I was once using one of their phones booths and a Spanish dude came to my window flashing a big bag of weed he was selling....He thought I was a customer when I was legit there to use the phone. First time I saw someone smoking crack.. first time I seen a shoot out ...first time I seen a dead body...was all either in my building or in front of my building. Up the hill was a different world from down the hill.

My grandmother lived down the hill on 145th and 7th....Right across the street from the infamous Jukebox ran by Azie....She lived their all my life until she passed in 2012. The mid 80s was a special time because that whole block every store was Black owned.....Black bars..Black coffee shops, Black hair salons...Even the gas station was Black owned. But there was two worlds.....You had the legit businesses and the fronts.....Like for instance the dealers had this store right next to the Jukebox that sold Garbage Pail Kids, BlackBeat,Fresh/Right On magazines and trick gags like Whoopie cusion, fart spray, diapers with fake shyt inside, invisible ink, hand buzzers and itching powder and had a few arcades like Donkey Kong and Pole Position. But this was all a front for the kids to spend their lil money. The weed spots fronts around teh block on the ave were "Health Food" stores. I also remember the crack fiends that were always across the street. Mind you I was 10/11 years old by 89 and Alpos name was ringing the loudest....I didnt know of Rich or Azie or Preacher..... Everything was Alpo. At the time I was led to believe Alpo ran West Harlem because thats the name everyone kept saying. And no one knew what he looked like. I learned about everyone else a few years later as a teen thru word of mouth. Preachers name was probably ringing with the grown ups but not the kids. Civilians had to worry about local shyt around the way like random acts of violence. Like my block was FF Mob but that was just some block shyt. We weren't ringing heavy in the streets like the Decepticons. The Decepticons were the ones whose names were ringing heavy to the kids in the mid/late 80's all over NYC because they were kids/teens. I can only tell the story I remember from the perspective of a little kid. In the 90's when I was older there were all types of new storys and new names ringing in the streets. The mid 90's was more my era.
