Beyonce performed "Formation" in 2016 ar the Superbowl Halftime and that had Black imagery and had more entertainment value without sacrificing message or imagery than the whole Kendrick Lamar set. It wasn't even about having white people shook, but they were. Cops talking about they were getting threats because of the songs and some of them saying they wouldn't provide security for her at the show.

Artists can both entertain and educate without sacrificing one for the other. It can also be done without writing think pieces.

Show me the post where I complained about the Beyonce performance at the Superbowl that year.

Everybody is not going to like the Kendrick performance. Synbolism and all that jazz has nothing to do with whether I liked the performance. Its music, and all these think pieces trying to make that performance into this big spectacle is not going to make people think any different.

Liking that performance does not make you smarter or a better person.

The performance wasn't bad. The audio mixing was tho. Kendricks mic was so low compared to the music.
