It was a bad setlist doing all.his new sh1t that only his fans know. The performance was OK but would've been better if he chose more hits.

Wayne would've been worse.

I was always worried that an elite live performer like him was not going to be able to adjust to the Super Bowl having 13 to 15 min live performances. They low-key gotta stop that shyt make it 10 mins longer at least. I think the shortness fukked his flow up
It wasn’t the length of the set for me or Kendrick’s actual performance. I went back and watched it again and it was pretty decent especially with his breath control. I just feel like it was a battle between the symbolism he wanted to communicate and the show/performative aspects that are expected for that type of stage. Somehow both got lost in translation but overall it was enough so that people can’t say he was totally washed.
It’s gonna be a moment for him regardless, but if it wasn’t for the beef, this performance would not be as special as it needs to be for him as a stand-alone artist.

Man that shyt was fukking mid and damn near put my Superbowl party to sleep.

NFL bout go back to the days of Bruce Springsteen and The Who if that's what hip-hop has to offer moving forward. :mjlol::trash:
Hip-Hop ain't got a lot of great performer anayway, especially for stadiums :yeshrug:

Its getting crazy that you have to preemptively announce you not a drake fan before you criticize Kendrick. Smh

I absolutely hate drake. But this halftime show was straight trash.
It’s the equivalent to “you know I love my black queens but…”

Kendrick will have to go through the cyclic nature of public opinion.

"First they love you, then they hate you, then they love you again"

The insane Grammy success was the turning point. You can win, but when u win too well people flip on you.

It isn't a conscious thing, but that's how people react. If Kendrick had been snubbed at the Grammys this performance would have been super lit.

Great breath control? He was mumbling his own lyrics from being out of breath :mjlol:

Good energy?! He looked like he was sweating bullets about to pass out

Mafukkas cant even be honest bout shyt we can see and hear ourselves :mjlol:

I'll watch the playback because I could hear him very clearly. And didn't hear anything abnormal from an artist who is actually performing and not backtracking like most artists do.

He was legit dancing and rapping under some hot ass lights of course he is going to be sweating bullets. He ain't walking around doing nothing like artists only saying a few lines. Dude was actually rapping most of his lyrics where you could hear him completely behind the mic.

I'm not sure why people are acting like the song choices he made was random. They were his biggest songs and he even decided to keep it pure hiphop. If he wanted to be corny he could've easliy played somed pop shyt he was featured on.

I guess it's all subjective because this was a good performance to me. This ain't my favorite arist so I don't care needlessly defend him. I just disagree about how this performance is perceived
