As far as the collab/completion joints. They have long been a part of hip hop. A track that comes to mind is "John Blaze", Pun and Nas was competing on that track, specifically tryna outshine each other. That's hip hop. I've Cube and MC Ren used to try outshine each other all the time. Snoop and DOC would compete with each other all the time with the lyrics, that's what The Chronic was. This is not new. Pusha T obviously understood this.

That's the problem I had with kdots diss he said he was ending careers and brought up fans and shyt . Drake was probably like when he heard all that because in all honesty it's talk . How could you end someone's career without actively going at them ??? NEVER been the case? The homie just gave you a specific example on John Blaze with Nas spitting "nikkas is this and that/I'm just the best" and Pun countering with "You ain't even in my clasa" on the SAME track.

Nas and Jay-Z been on the same track going at each other twice. "Pardon the rest of my nikkas/but I'm the BEST who ever did it" and Jay countering with "the realest shyt in hip hop comes from MY voice box"

Outkast,two nikkas who GREW UP together were competing and throwing shots at each other on The Mighty O. Again this isn't anything new within the genre, it's Competition at the highest level. If Drake wants to wimp out then that's on him, but don't afford him any excuses on some "real nikka" shyt when he's being ANYTHING but.

Again this is the SAME nikka who bragged about "killing everybody in the game" on his sophomore album. Who claims he's the greatest of his generation. When you out that crown on your head somebody's gonna come to behead you and claim your spot. Kendrick just dispensed with the bullshyt and made his intentions clear. It's not even about "beef" it's about being the BEST and being able to challenge those you view as your equals and rivals.
