I've never seen a superbowl performance where people didn't complain. It's a big pot of people with different taste watching it so it's never going to be universally loved. This was a better performance than most years. The only ones hating are old boomers and Drake stans

I’m not a Drake fan but that shyt was wack. Not a single song from GKMC…

should’ve opened with Bish Don’t Kill My Vibe or Backseat Freestyle. That “Martin had a Dream…Martin had a Dream. Kendrick have a Dream” would’ve been a dope opener and still fit with that theme he was doing.

I judge every performance on its individual merit. This was above average at best. Nothing went over my head, it was just dull. It’s meant to be a half time entertainment show, and it was mild at best.

And as someone in here already said, if Kanye hadn’t gone crazy, he would’ve killed it easily. He knows how to put on a live performance.

I’ve never got the Kendrick hype but I did throughly enjoy his first album… in fact, it was the best release of 2012. But since then, it’s just been self indulgent tripe from him. But Kendrick fans will tell you “it’s too deep and abstract for yall to comprehend.”
