Kendrick needs to do something about his voice. DJ Quik, Suga Free, Andre are similar with their voices but there is something extra cringeworthy about Kendrick's voice. The other three it doesn't bother you as much. But Kendrick makes songs like this underwhelming with his cadence and voice. I think its cause he tries to come across as hard with it lol.

Kendrick please stop. Bars wise he is easily one of the best of this decade but he has one of the top WOAT voices in rap history. And even with this track his bars are not on point. We can never win. We get a throwback emcee who is hip hop to the core and he got one of the WOAT voices. Hopefully this is a similar case to TPAB 2 years ago where Blacker the Berry was average but the album ended up being great.

I mean the rhymes were dope i guess, no bars really jumped out to me like THAT but it was still good...but as a SONG? it's essentially a glorified freestyle...I wanna hear an anthem...and before people get it confused, I don't mean "club banger" necessarily... Hov is a perfect example of someone who executes shyt like that perfectly..."PSA" is an ANTHEM, "U don't know" is an ANTHEM, etc...songs that have great beats, great rhymes, that everyone can repeat the words to....Kendrick makes great bodies of work and GKMC is an undeniable classic, but at this point i wanna see him deliver those records that shut shyt down when they come on....I'll wait for the next single
