Someone on KTT (youngnastyshawty) interviewed Syk Sense, who produced The Heart IV. Here's what he said:

"Syk sense does not have any placements on the album but he does know a couple beats on the album. He said their like Memphis meets LA meets some crazy ****. He said its almost like "levitate" but even harder."

This could be real interesting. I haven't talked about it much on The Coli but my biggest gripe about trap is the weak drums. The 808 is always the dominant sound in trap, with programmed hi hats rolling and drums that sound meh as fukk. I wanna hear a return to Three 6 Mafia Memphis shyt, with dope drums. Go listen to Who Run It by Three 6 Mafia. That's what I want man...

I feel what you're saying but for the record, those drums on "Who Run It" are 808s too. The drums are compressed to be more punchy, and the snares and hats are pitched down so they're deeper. The overall effect is the drums have more "presence" on the track.
