I don't think it's fear, I think cats want whoever their favorite rapper is to get the type of love that Kendrick does. I believe some of these guys are being genuine in saying Kendrick's music isn't for them. You couple that with them seeing Kendrick get universal praise, critical and commercial success, but most importantly the respect of his peers and the culture in general, and it makes cats feel some type of way.

Where in my post did I say anything about contributions to anything? I said one artist gets the respect of the culture. If you want to rebuttal me and argue that Kendrick Lamar isn't respected within hip hop culture feel free
