Also what is this False idea that Black people don't care about "Black on Black" crime? So all those Black mothers and family members who went to the funerals of their diseased loved ones don't care? Most of the protest against Hood Violence happens but the White Supremacy ran media doesn't care to cover that. You think the Poltiicans care about "Black on Black" crime and our communities? Hell no or they wouldn't look like shyt. Trust me, Blacks do not own the Liquor Stores and Guns Shops, and we damn sure ain't shipping the drugs in. I just hate when Black people using "Talking Points" that Whites use against us to minimize our struggle. Nobody saying Crime isn't a problem in our communities but before you get to effect you have to find the cause. There's a reason they are called "THE PROJECTS".

if u out here killing ur own ppl, but u rail against others doing the same... that's not some hypocrite shyt??

that's the way i took it. not as a statement outlining his beliefs. not about saying u cant riot. and it's not about "others" respecting us through our actions (imo). just as a question that warrants self-reflection, regardless of where u stand on the matter.

Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
This is ignorant and dangerous.

White people's thoughts on race relations can mean the difference between life and death for non-white people, suggesting that we shouldn't care that we might be seen as savages is utter stupidity.

:camby:

We've been fighting this fight for over a century now and still in 2015 you can go on a social platform right now and find SEVERAL examples of a white person calling us "savages" or worse. Fukk I look like caring about what a random person who has never met me thinks. These people don't generally change and if they do it's not going to be due to the words of the same black man they already consider sub-human.

They don't see they old bait and switch they always do

Kendrick complaining gang violence when Compton is nowhere near the way it was in the early 90's

Chicago has more a gang problem as far as blacks are concerned than with anything in LA

how come he didn't have a verse about the Latinos beating up black people in Compton, shyt ain't even black neighborhood anymore

Jay Rock the only street nikka in they whole camp anyway

That's a gross oversimplification of what was said.

Sound like the Kendrick haters are nervous. In their haste to sound like they're turned off by Kendrick "c00n" statement, they're proving themselves to be dumb. You can't help but look around and see the self hate in the black community, but since it's all the rave to be socially conscious about white vs black crime, it's cool to ignore our very reality. Our women injecting themselves with poison, hair weave is considered normal, black men tattooing their faces chasing a style or emulating another grow man that recite words to a beat, etc......I'm from St. Louis.....the "fight the power" wave here has died down considerably. So at what point will these internet revolutionaries stop chasing the next fade and it's ok to finally get back to a serious question....what about "us"? I'm not into hero worshipping. If Kendrick make dope music, then cool. If he says something I don't agree with in an interview, then cool. But y'all hip-hop fans are funny hanging y'all hats on that one line. I can't imagine cats claiming MLK "Dream" speech wasn't uplifting to blacks because he had that one line about Jews and Gentiles.
nervous of what? i see the self hate nikka..I cant fukking stand it.. its a huge problem..
my only point is it doesn't invalidate criticisms of POLICE unjustly LYNCHING black people..

but i guess i'm a smart dumb nikka/internet revolutionary if i disagree

"I can't imagine cats claiming MLK "Dream" speech wasn't uplifting to blacks because he had that one line about Jews and Gentiles..".
compare Kendrick Lamar raps to Martin Lurther King Jr speeches brehs...
i'm ghost for the night..
PEACE Africans, you too @Champ_KW not even tryna argue with u bruh just give my opinion on the shyt

No, he wants all violence to stop, when you want to stop something, you do something to stop it, pointing and saying "but what about Black on Black violence" does nothing to fix the problem, if it did, Bill O'Reilly would have single handedly fixed the Black community years ago.

I think there's a difference between Kendrick talking about the black violence in his community and Bill O'Reilly using the issue to patronize and disrespect black people. O'Reilly isn't making an honest argument, he's essentially trolling to hide a racial animus. Kendrick has no racial animus towards his own fukking neighbors, let's be real.

MOST of his music has been about this issue.

I'm not trying to change white people's minds, I'm saying that disregarding how they think of us is foolish and can get you killed.

It's pathetic breh. Do nikkas actually listen to the words or the beat? Kendrick even put the message in the cover art. Black mother (Eve) in her queen motherhood and royalty, breastfeeding her sons (Cain & Abel) like how it was supposed to be before sin tore us apart and now its brother vs brother.

don't do it to them:wow:

"Why did I weep when Trayon Martin was in the street when gang bangin made me kill a nikka blacker than me, hypocrite!"

This line pretty much ruined the song for me.

Create false equivalencies between systematic racial injustice and gang violence brehs. :mjthink:

If Zimmerman got the same life sentence that the Crips and Bloods got for "killing someone blacker than me" then I would agree with Koondrick. But Zimmerman is signing autographs like white supremacists celebrity.
Misinterpret a line brehs

They aren't making the same point breh. Are yall listening to the song or just one line? He's not blaming anything on black people, the first verse is about the racist system that destroys ghettos
:comeon:
