this is hard and then that smooth switch to finish the song :banderas:

but....what i will say is, the two joint he's dropped i immediately thought of wanting to hear certain rappers over the beats than Kendrick.

Racc00n is a class A c00n and will never be better than his daddy Drake

:heh: you trolling right?

Please point me to any Drake song that talks about black people and social issues?

Drake makes nice break up music and smooth shyt for the ladies but he don't make songs like this bruh.

c'mon, keep that goofy argument in 2013.

edit--too late..carry on.

Fair enough :ehh: But what I'm sayin is those 2 issues are completely different. If Kendrick wanted to bash the ills of gangbangin, that's cool. But to play the whole "what about black on black crime" angle is tired.

Is gangbangin demonic and destructive?yes. But there is recourse, accountability and consequence that come along with it. Gangbangers either get killed or go to jail. They aren't acquitted by juries and absolved by grand juries, judges and district attorneys.
Wut point r u makin exactly? Jus cause police brutality isnt dealt wit fairly by the judicial system doesnt invalidate the detrimental nature of gangbangin. Its not about choosin one or the other as the evil, both are bad for the community and both need to be dealt with.

I think i explained my point well. With all due respect, what part are you confused with? I've clearly expressed my personal displeasure with gang violence. But to compare gang violence to Trayvon being killed isn't a fair comparison

At least one person got took the hint from Yeezus and realized that Reggae and Hip Hop on a track together almost always delivers without fail
Hopefully this becomes a placeholder in the genre, fukk your trap beat. Give me that real. Kanye gonna switch the culture up for a third time
They're gonna hate you for this fam :whew:

I don't think he's making a comparison. He's saying he's hypocritical to be mad at one and turn a blind eye to another. a dead brother is a dead brother and he's saying he feels like he should be equally outraged at both

That Rolling Stone interview left a bad taste in peoples mouths:manny:...What Pac said was a valid and really just a thought and acknowledgement, not a pardon of white peoples evils....Same thing with the Kendrick statement, that line itself at face value is just something to think about.

The last line alone is not really c00nish to me,just self reflection:patrice:? What I DONT like about the song is the fact even with all the shyt he said against the system, the whole buildup of the song was how he was about to show how he was a hypocrite at the end of it all....somewhat negating all the shyt he said about the system and white supremacy.

ONLY because he made pointing himself out as a hypocrite to be the climax of the song,i hate to say it did kindve turn into one big "what about black on black crime" song....he failed by making that the main theme of the song, pointing out his hypocrisy....song may be deeper than I realize on first couple listens, its one you might have to sit with.

I don't hate it at all,but you gotta admit it took some of the edge out of the song with him doing that:manny:...if it was just one line in the song I don't think it would get that hate.
Yeah that Rolling Stones interview gonna have people extra critical of Dot so I feel you on that part. Had the interview never happened I don't think people would focus on the last line as tough as they are, aint shyt c00nish about that particular line though, its been said a lot throughout hip hops history.

yes both need to be dealt with but what does the existence of one(gangbanging) have to do with the other (unjust SLAYING of black persons by police)?
the line just irks me becuz for decades the existence of internal black issues have been to used invalidate criticisms of systemic violence towards black people. As if we are so ugly and vile as a people that (becuz some very small minority of us kill one another) we dont have any moral grounds to criticize what others do to harm us or how systemic violence affects us..
that shyt is so tired and irks me to no end, and thats the entire premise of this record essentially, he starts every verse with that "hyprocrite" line so he can make that bs point...
