I don’t think Kendrick was gonna slash Drake’s neck the way he did if he didn’t get disrespected on that Family Matters song. He was just gonna slap him around like he did on Like That.

Yea, this was a corporate sponsored interview. I’d imagine the one with the actor dude is the same. I hope before the tour starts that he interviews with somebody like Big Boy or Joe Budden.

No bullshyt question, only music related, this is what journalism is.

Journalism is a corporate interview where everything is coordinated and approved? I thought it was solid but come on. He hasn't spoken to an actual journalist in a very long time and while I appreciate the aura of mystery, I think it's important that artists talk to journalists some times. Doesn't have to be every year, or every other year. But if Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Miles Davis etc could do it every now and then....surely today's artists can too.

That being said...I don't expect journalism to be present during a Super Bowl roll out. It's a corporate affair, nothing wrong with that. And I like Kendrick's answers. He's who he's always been, I respect it. I would have loved someone to followup on Reincarnated and as if the leaked Prayer record was an early iteration of that concept/idea and why that has become such a fascination to him over the last few years.

Or maybe he’s comfortable because he knows they won’t ask messy questions. Kendrick has usually mispoke in recent interviews such as the Ferguson comments .

I think you’re exaggerating This . Like the Grammy rating went down . This is a hip hop board so of course these things stand out more to us.

Coli wasn't even what I was focused on. I'm talking social media. IG, X, Facebook, etc. Insane amount of buzz around the performance.

It's not even surprising IMO. Chiefs and Eagles just played 2 years ago. Nobody wanted these teams to run it back and most fans dislike both. Of course we're all still gonna watch or whatever, but the buzz is for what exactly? It's the least buzzworthy Superbowl I can think of in a while honestly.

Both teams already faced each other recently. Both franchises have won a championship(s) relatively recently. Neither team is liked. What is there to get hyped about? Mahomes getting his 90th ring or Jalen Hurts being carried to his first by Saquon Barkley? Nobody fukking cares.

tbh there's definitely more hype for the performance than for the game itself... many athletes literally talked about that too.
