To alot of blacks YES!!!! Thats the problem!! you have to realize that we have PURPOSELY been lulled to sleep as a people. They dont WANT us "aware" of white supremacy. They keep us entertained and occupied with sports, reality tv and ignorant rap music. This is the "turn up" generation. This is the YOLO/Me, Myself, and I generation. We aren't collectively aware of our own history in this country. We aren't collectively aware of ways in which we've been systematically oppressed. We are still calling music (that has been INTENTIONALLY MANIPULATED) "just entertainment". This is all by design. We have been conditioned to not care about black lives being lost. We have been conditioned to hate ourselves. NOW that we are seeing actual footage of things like cops shooting blacks in the back or a group full of kids on a bus chanting racist songs, we are starting to wake up. But before the last couple years, yes we were VERY asleep to white supremacy. Ive seen and heard the phrase "white supremacy" more in the last 3 months probably more than i have my entire life. Straight up.
