I dislike the false equivalency of the black plight in comparison to transgenderism and the LGBT community

It’s not the same struggle and it isn’t even comparable. The more the so called black man and woman try to align themselves and draw parallels between the two the more we undermine the great diaspora

“Living his truth, even if it meant seeing a surgeon”

This has to be intentionally oxymoronic on Kendrick’s part.

Where in the album did you hear an equivalency between the two?

Crown grew on me. I just let it play now. Also Disc 2 is way better than 1 just like Yo Gotti.

If you analyze the logic a racist and a bigot uses it's the same exact logic directed at a different target. It all boils down to you're different than me and I hate you because of it. So you tell me how he's wrong.

The entire discourse behind Auntie Diaries has people all over drawing parallels between the two

Pointing out the “bias” and contradictions of people using slurs against transgenders but being offended with white folks saying nikka

With one truth being that Kendrick’s auntie & cousin weren’t born transgender in the first place. They damn sure was born black tho

Sure there’s parallels between the logic they use just like there’s parallels between a government official and a drug kingpin on the streets

But we can’t be out here talking bout needing to address the mental health of black community and seeking therapy, and then in the same breath say people are living their truth when they gotta go to the chop shop to mutilate/castrate themselves

If you gonna live your truth then live your truth. The truth is that Kendrick’s auntie isn’t a man now nor will she ever be

But I digress from this topic lol I ain’t finna get into all that

The end of aunties diary
Interesting. I interpreted that to be him drawing an equivalency between the words and how they are used, but definitely not an equivalency between the plight of the two groups.

I mean…that’s essentially what he’s doing

But the context and power behind said words is what sparks emotion among people, because of the plight of the two groups.

It then branches into all other stuff and there is an ever growing large demographic in the so called black community that is tryna bridge the gap between said groups and unify them.

Kendrick knows this and is pretty much complicit from my understanding, as he forgoes his own religious beliefs for his cousin’s love & approval. To whom you agree with is up to you but uhhhh… for me ehh
