-Music fans have TPAB as his best album, and one of the greatest albums in music history
-Critics have tpab as the highest rated rap album ever
-Artists, musicians have tpab as his best album

don't try to put this on "kendrick fans" to make it seems like your opinion is correct..it is not. It's fine if you prefer GKMC, nothing wrong with that. It's simply not his best album, far from it, and it will never be seen as his best album either. That's TPAB.

Only time will tell if Morale will be seen as his best.

The few times he’s actually speaking on social issues it’s to shyt on that whole summer of 2020 movement and Twitter activism in general. You can always tell who actually listens to shyt on here
Alright cool because for a minute there I thought I was listening to something different :gucci:. Breh isn't preaching at all and is actually forthcoming about his contradictions.

I'll get back to album views later but I think the early flurry of perfect album reviews, mere hours from release, really highlight how broken "criticism" and media have become. This is a challenging, dense album with undeniable highs and undeniable flaws. And I think the immediate "best album ever" or "he's the GOAT" reactions, as well as the reviews, feel like people didn't listen. He told you he's not the savior. He told you the blue check mafia are full of bullshyt and more interested in performative action than real action. But a lot of people in those groups, from the "Kendrick is the best ever bro" fans to the "let me over analyze everything and call it blackness" critics gotta go...

My initial reaction after the album was wow he's actually gonna get some criticism and bad reviews for once. But...maybe not as bad as I thought based on the convos I'm seeing. I have a suspicion that Kendrick won't be doing interviews for this, and him going to Ghana to celebrate the release wasn't a coincidence. He's completely divorced from that world of reactions, requests, and people asking what did you mean by xyz.

Plenty of people feel GKMC is his best album. This shyt is all subjective

And no ThirdAct, this is not "all preference", not at all. there's a difference between what one enjoys and what is good/bad.

Tpab is up there with the best albums from Prince, Nina Simone, etc whereas gkmc is just up there with the best rap albums. That's not the same league at all. And I agree that gkmc has way too many flaws from a musical aspect...something rap fans might not understand as they mostly listen to rap. Same demographic that don't understand why hip hop albums are never ranked as high as albums from other genres. Reality is they're not on the same level.

Pretentious babble. This shyt IS subjective my nikka. At the end of the day none of that shyt means nothing if someone does not find it enjoyable TO THEM. Foh with this shyt :camby:

This is some condescending ass shyt right here. You wrongly assume he isn't self aware. He never suggests that his ideas are novel. Hell, on something like Savior he addresses the topic directly:

Fun fact, I ain't taking shyt back
Like it when they pro-Black, but I'm more Kodak Black
Facts

Breh either didn't listen to the album or wasn't paying attention to it to think it there was any type of Twitter woke shyt on the album. The only time he mentions woke shyt is when he talks about dealing with too much personal issues to care about that shyt.

This album is about mental health and coming to terms with a bad upbringing. Where is the wokeness of that??

You can look in old Kendrick threads and see my stannery.

I am not gonna lie..I'm not feeling this album at all. Not one song I'd want to listen to again. I've never cringed more listening to Kendrick.

He def speaks on a lot of relatable stuff like the dad issues and what not but I am trying to force myself to like it and it's not working.

The Heart Pt. 5 was better than every song on the album.

Mans really recorded a domestic dispute over an alchemist beat lol song made me turn the album off.
