Gkmc is his worst album if we're being honest, no matter how much you enjoy it... if we refer to critics, TPAB is his magnum opus. If we refer to the masses, DAMN is his magnum opus.
If we refer to the quality, TPAB is his magnum opus

We'll see what happens to this album in a few months, but I'm confident it's gonna surpass TPAB.

GKMC has too many flaws, it's an amazing album, just not as good as the rest of his catalog from an objective angle...it's just the more "rap" album he has in his discography, but it's nowhere near as magnificent as an album like TPAB.

s80 probably my personal favorite doe, but if we put all bias aside to judge straight quality, then:

TPAB = MM&TBS > DAMN > GKMC/s80

Run Thru U Like Skattebo
die hard
father time
purple hearts
silent hill
mr morale

these are the only songs i would ever listen to again. solid album. it's got lots of meaning and care put into it, but it's a bit forced.

i wonder if the double disc satisfies his contractual obligation to TDE faster...

Napoleon goofy ass doing the most in this damn thread lmao.

Anyway, I can't make a complete assessment of the album...certain stuff I was feeling a lot, some I'm ehh on. But Kendrick is spitting on here. Kept the weird shyt to a minimum. Odd comparison but this is like Kendricks Eminem Show, where he's just talking about Kendrick Duckworth the man and what's going on in his life. Like an hour long therapy session.

And We Cry Together? I mean cmon, WOW. That shyt is art breh

There's no way you can digest this many layers of production, lyrics and concepts to form an conclusive opinion. I will listen to this album for the rest of the year and still find new things to figure out. It's not easily digested and if you came back with conclusions this early it's like you skimmed through a book and made up your mind. Sober by itself is worth a couple of days reflecting and conversation,I really, really like this album so far,the excitement of diving deeper into this body of work alone will keep me engaged.

Nah. GKMC is and at this point looks to always will be his best album. It was a perfect album. Theres a case that the best songs from TPAB are better then best ones from GKMC. As a overall body of work though its GKMC all day. Thats his undisputed classic album. Damn isn't even in the conversation for me. That album was average.
