He's among my favorite rappers ever and a genius. All I've ever said is his genius is more connected to his overall artistry, vision, execution and production than it is to awe-inspiring lyrical prowess.

Still a very good lyricist, but I am a lot less moved by that aspect of his talent the rest. Which is to be expected. I grew up on Lupe, Nas, Jay and Andre 3000.

To Pimp a Butterfly is also my 2nd favorite album ever, so there's that.
