I'm also a Kendrick fan since the OD days. You sure right about this OP. Anything you say it's "uh he said he is not your savior" or "he explained this on Mr Morale"

The new stans are making dude intolerable

Breh you get it. I genuinely like brehs music, I still spin MM heavily and GNX one of my favorite recent albums.

That does not absolve him from valid criticism as an artist or a human being though. People favorite response is "well he said he's not perfect".

what happens when yo criticize kendrick?

any examples of what happens to people who criticize him?

I know your goofy ass ain't gonna point to drake lol

I actually wasn't but I can tell by this part of your post nothing I say is gonna mean anything and your rebuttal is gonna be something relating to Drake.

nikkas like you literally cannot have a convo about Kendrick without bringing up Drake. Notice how I haven't brought Drake up once in this thread :yeshrug:

Only criticisms I remember people having of Kendrick was the voice changes and some people not liking his recent albums as much as the earlier stuff, but I feel like these were mostly niche discussions you see on messageboards. I'm not sure I've ever seen ppl debating about Kendrick Lamar irl and even online I rarely would get on my feed and see random discussions about him

It's hard to say a dude who won multiple Grammys and had platinum albums just crossed over but it does seem he suddenly has a way larger swarth of stans post Drake beef

GNX ran its course for me. Now after this Super Bowl I might go run it back :russ:

Can I not say the same about most criticisms of most humans in general? If I call you a liar are there not 5-10 other people you can also calla liar?
Im talking about his rap peers. Obviously anybody can be criticized but also know that the criticisms themselves can be criticized as well

He's among my favorite rappers ever and a genius. All I've ever said is his genius is more connected to his overall artistry, vision, execution and production than it is to awe-inspiring lyrical prowess.

Still a very good lyricist, but I am a lot less moved by that aspect of his talent than the rest. Which is to be expected. I grew up on Lupe, Nas, Jay and Andre 3000.

To Pimp a Butterfly is also my 2nd favorite album ever, so there's that.
