P4K doesn't review that many rap albums. When they do it is special.

See, this is your problem....thinking I (or for that matter, the average rap fan who's not an online groupie, such as yourself) care that a CAC website reviewing a rap album is supposed to be considered "special". I don't put the same level of revered stock in Pitchfork that you do, I could care less if they highlight a rap review so as to suggest that THEM doing the review somehow enhances the album's appeal....newsflash, people don't even buy albums based off reviews anymore, in fact, most albums are able to be downloaded so quickly that people don't even SEE a damn review before they hear the album. nikkas writing they OWN reviews these days.

No, the only people who legitimately listen to Pitchfork and think their "hip-hop opinion" matters are clueless hipsters, fringe/and or retarded rap fans who think Soulja Boy is "old school" and, as I said, online groupies who like to troll on boards like this because nothing else in their lives has much to offer....

So fukk that site, their opinion and, once again, your "let me pretend I was legitimately attempting to spark a rational discussion by utilizing such a blatantly and transparently asstacular troll approach to this topic" ass thread.

Wu Tang is forever, and so is Nas.

I'm proud to see Kendrick get these great reviews. IMO Pitchfork is rather predictable in terms of how they handle hip hop. They often give more "conventional" rap albums below average to average scores - The Roots, Nas, etc. Meanwhile you can tell a bunch of white boys write the shyt because they also give many southern mixtapes and albums 7s and 8s (Gucci, Flocka, etc).

But they've also been very favorable to the new-ish wave of rappers like Kendrick, Ab Soul, Q - and even Action Bronson, Esquire, etc.

That's pretty much how I buy my music. :ehh:

Only rap records I've heard this year was K.Dot, Killer Mike, Miguel and Frank Ocean.

Of course not nas...because...you know...irrelevant :smugdraper:

Will Kendrick's tenth album even be mentioned in a conversation of relevance? I doubt if he makes 4.
