people here don't worship pitchfork like they do other places

there is no logical progression of thought from "Kendrick got a 9.5" to "nas is irrellevant"

with nas's album sales, well received album (critically and in places like here/other music websites) it's quite clear that yes, hes still relevant.

there is no correlation between Kendrick's pitchfork score and Nas relevancy; therefore you are a troll and you should take it elsewhere

Yep. Perfectly articulated.

fukk this thread.

fukk this thread.

That wasn't perfectly articulated at all though:skip:

There is a logical progression from "Kendrick got a 9.5" to "Nas is irrelevant."

P4K doesn't review that many rap albums. When they do it is special.

It makes the artist that much more relevant because they are being shown recognition from a major website like P4K which determines relevancy, buzz, and hype.

So when they reviewed Nas, it made Nas slightly relevant. Now that K.Dot has bettered Nas's score and is one of the few rap albums to be reviewed by P4K in general, it thus makes Nas irrelevant in the general internet/blogosphere.

See? You get it now:smugdraper:

i think NaS is still relevant because the first name to drop out the OP's mouth was NaS in response to KL getting a good review... i don't know that i'd be trying to discuss another rapper because a rapper i like got a good review.... s M h

First thing you thought of was Nas when seeing Kendrick get that high rating, so I would say no.
Even before Dre lol

This is where the thread should've reached it's natural conclusion

Your Carles impression is terrible

Beat me to it. If you're going to HRO this shyt at least bite the part where Carles releases
poignant commentary hidden in a dense forest of bullshyt and buzzwords.

I'd neg but, no point.

#1 on 106 and Park and a 9.5 in Pitchfork.....when has that ever happened

Kanye

Hate it or love it, Pitchfork is pretty influential and they actually review most relevant rap albums. They used to be anti-Nas but they came around for his most recent album (I think one of their reviewers had some petty complaint with Stillmatic). So both Nas and Kendrick are relevant

the whole entire vibe, the young black male who was peer pressured into situations at his lowest point then moved on into a better lifestyle as he understood the repercussions

they love ignorant shyt as well because it keeps us in line. you start taking shots at them cacs ala "untilted" they will flip on you in a second.

Stupid ass post. Do you know how risky artistically and commercially it is to make a proper concept album? And :why: at implying any album that doesn't feature someone going at CACs is safe.

But then again you've been hating on GKMC since it came out so. :manny:

Obviously Nas matters still but Pitchfork definitely is the most influential review site in music today.

Good to K.Dot for getting the 9.5.
