Gave this album a serious listen last night rather than skipping through tracks and I was very impressed. I feel like albums like these are all about how you feel about the artist going in to the album (see Slaughterhouse). I was never a huge stan of Kendrick coming in to the album so safe to say I had an open mind.
I was very impressed with the album and I had to initially get over some of his vocal inflections, but that wasnt too hard to do. There was one song, "good kid" I think, that I wasnt feeling but on balance the album had me
Definitley not your typical "west coast" album but Kendrick represented for the coast/hip hop well.

My only grip is that I wish the track that featured kl talking about the race riots which he spat on Westwood
Me too... Threw CC & The Heart.3 at the end and it just makes it thta much better...Threw Cartoons and Cereal on my Deluxe version I copped from iTunes. This is def a worthy successor to Section 80.
Who knows if it'll have me hooked as long as his first joint, but so far it's on repeat.
