Ambition is still being slept on I see:ohhh:
I am willing to say the two albums are even if not Ambition being better to me. Ambition was a solid 8.8/10 to me while this is more like an 8.3 thus far
You can't be serious right now.

Sigh... Nas is 39 dude... His album was reflecting his life at damn near 40 yrs old.. Kendricks reflects his life at 16-17 yrs old.. How old are you? Anyway both were great albums and HIp Hop won by having them both drop this year...
None of that matters, the album is just better. No biggie. I'm a Nas fan, that's just what it is though.

Bait was a bonus.

Tats on my arm though :mindblown:

Kendricks album is good. I bought my copy. Hes one of the new rappers I stan. I imagine this growing on me though because slowly I'm catching on to shyt and concepts are becoming that mich more brilliant to me (ie. Art of Peer Pressure). Collect Calls and the Black Hippy Remixes woulda made this a 9/10 alone if it was on my version though :why:. The standard deluxe bonuses were  and all this 10/10..9.5/10 talk I cant get with it. I boosted saying 8.8 for Ambition...but still its on the same level of this to me a year later. I feel this Kendrick is like Take Care who everyone hailed but nobody is found bumping today. Not saying we wont be bumping this after some years...but it just seems like hype has taken over at the moment.

This album is cocneptually a lot better than Wale's but I guess Wale's is more entertaining. shyt I can cruise to, workout too, shyt girls can bump etc etc. Pretty much every beat on the album was fire and he was spittin. Chain Music, no Days off, Legendary, MMGenius, Dont hold your applause, White Linen, DC or Nothing. How is that album anything less than an 8?

When he came 0ut with that lady gaga shyt (which was catchy) and hopped on the scene I was like, "Who's this dusty Nigerian nikka?" (I'm ghanaian so naturally I hate). Back to the future tapes and the seinfeld (my favourite show) tape bored me. I paid him no mind. Break up song was real dope...but then when I saw that MMG video where he got that black watch I was like hmmm lets see what happens :ehh:.

No Hands came out :dj2:

Ashes to Ashes came out (maybe before no hands but it was the winter of 2010 I think...late december) I heard his verse on Play Your part and was like :ohhh:. First time hearing Meek Mill too but I thought he was just rambling. Meeks verse grew on me but ....anyways

Pandemonium video came out and he was VICIOUS on the mic. Killed everyone. Flow, punchlines, charisma...total package. 600 Benz leaked. Eleven one Eleven came out. Tracks like Bait, Pick Six, fukk You, Drums and shyt, Globetrotter etc were all bangers.

Self Made drops in the same summer :ohlawd:
Heatrock.

By then Im now on the bandwagon...Ambition came out and sealed the deal. Sold like 178K first week too

Wale is one of the single corniest popular rappers I've heard in the last decade. He, Cole, and Wiz make the lamest singles I've heard from supposedly acclaimed up and comers.

No problem homie. If anything the reason I like Wale is that he says real shyt or record. I aint on Twitter...I pretty much never watch Worldstar etc so I dont know much about his hoeish personaltiy. Most people dont like his voice but I like it. Only dude with a better flow to me is Freddie Gibbs.

2nd verse on No Days off :ohlawd:. Chain Music :ohlawd:

Wonder how Jezzy feels about K.Dot using him as a example of how his music had a bad influence on the youth?

To the people on this page (152) talkin about you aint feeling the album I hope you realise you are just in that inevitable minority of people who manage to hate on something undeniably good.

A lot of people on West Coast Rap forums are disappointed with this album ironically enough because it isn't "west coast" enough

The praise for this album is insane, people always say 'classic' because of launch hype but this might actually be referred to as one.

I'm not one to call it an immediate classic, however other than when I'm at the gym, this album has been on constant repeat. If I'm listening to it a year from now, I wouldn't hesitate to call it a classic.

most rappers use songs as a mean to show off their cleverness. i prefer rappers who use their cleverness as a mean to write great songs.

Agreed
