One thing I noticed about this album is son is putting his ego on full display. He feels entitled to praise and if u not giving it to him he's not fukking with u. He basically drew the line in the sand. While I respect it it also proves what I been saying about him right.
Which is what?

Thats EXACTLY what he was doing.

“My hard work let lil Wayne down”

That says it all. He’s saying crystal clear that he outworked EVERYBODY to get the Superbowl spot and for anyone to feel they deserved it is to be taken as a slap in HIS face. He literally said on the track its fukk everyone and anyone and that extends to Wayne.

Yeah naw he clearly dissed Wayne multiple times on the album and YMCMB in general.

"Ain't no other king in this rap thing, they siblings
Nothing but my children, one shot, they disappearin'
I'm in the city where the flag be getting thrown
like it was pass interference, padlock around the building
Crash pulling up in unmarked trucks just to play freeze-tag
With a bone to pick like it was seabass
So when I made it out, I made about 50K from a show
Tryna show nikkas the ropes before they hung from a rope
I'm prophetic, they only talk about it, I get it
Only good for saving face, seen the cosmetics
How many heads I gotta take to level my aesthetics
Hurry up and get your muscle up, we up to plyometric
nikka ran up outta luck/Luxe soon as I up the highest "metric"
The city just made it "suite", you could "die, I bet it"

They mouth get full of deceit, let these cowards tell it
Walk in New Orleans with the etiquette, in LA yellin..."

:whew: :whew: :whew:

Might be the hardest verse on the whole album, sheesh

the hotel wordplay in the bolded make it sound like something went down at the Luxe hotel in West LA involving either Wayne or J Prince getting pressed by LA dudes lol, the New Orleans line at the end makes it sound like he's talking about Wayne though and basically he's saying that he'll keep it subliminal towards the YMCMB camp at the Superbowl even though Wayne shytted on his Superbowl show publicly because at the end of the day he already took their mascot's head clean off on NLU.

Yeah that whole part of the verse sounds like its about Drake and Wayne. the "how many heads" hints its not just about Drake and if Drake was gonna get his muscle up he's probably running to Wayne/Birdman or J Prince, also with another slick sub about Drake using Ozempic instead of working out lol.

the last verse on Peekaboo a Wayne diss too

"Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, that's my bytch
hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, that's my bytch
Hey, hey, hey, heyyyy, with all that fake shyt
Hey, hey, hey, heyyyy, ain't the one to play with
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, pull of in a Lam
double park it all at Tam's, mr. get off on yo mans
If he hate and disrespect, you better follow up with hands
Losses to the neck but now I'm trophied up, I'm saying, like
Bing, bop, boom, boom, bop, bam
The type of shyt I'm on, you wouldn't understand
THe type of skits I'm on, you wouldn't understand
Big dog bidness, I would not hold yo hand"

:picard: Basically told him he still a fake blood barking up the wrong tree and his mans got bodied. Also told him the superbowl is "his bytch" and to stop woofing like he had a shot with her to begin with :mjlol: even referenced the lam scene in the NLU video in case he forgot how him and Mustard just did his boy.

Lowkey also peeped he said "hey" 6 times twice in the first two lines, probably a reach but if he saying he made 6 god his bytch I wouldn't be surprised lol.

Office job or not it’s weak what he did. Look at how many other artists that were more deserving than Wayne that didn’t get a Super Bowl regardless of the location. You don’t hear them crying about it and being emotional about it. Let your fans do all that shyt for you. A lot of stand up people didn’t like how Wayne handled the situation.

And nikka no one is addressing the elephant in the room. Wayne is fukkin trash at performing now. Could you imagine 2024 wayne performing at the Super Bowl judging on his recent performances. The same nikkaz crying about him not performing would be the first ones talking shyt about how trash the performance was.

Facts the only way Wayne should be mad if somebody promised him the Superbowl halftime spot and then somebody switched up on him the last minute.

I bet the NFL or Jay z didn't even call him about performing at the Superbowl :mjlol:

Exactly he even said in that interview with YG that no one was checking for him to do it.

That son wasn't humble like people was trying to make it. And son could be petty. I'm glad he's laying it all on the table and not faking the funk at this point.
He a rapper. That's his job to talk shyt :dead:

But I'm glad you said the last part. Cause some rappers are known for walking it back

Houston, by way of Pittsburgh.
This isn’t like an office job and i don’t think it’s wrong for a man to be honest about his feelings.

I’m not even the biggest wayne fan but i think him having a spot at the SB in NO would be crazy for the culture from where we came from to where we are now.

And i can understand why wayne would be so bothered by not getting it.

I’m not mad at the Kendrick pick, but he and his fans need to be honest as for why he’s there, and it ain’t just “hard work” :stopitslime:

You nikkas implying politics being involved in that SB decision means nothing. It's all politicking at the end of the day. Or it could be as simple as the nikka being one of the biggest artists in the world, currently in the middle of the biggest year of his career, being selected because he's great at what he does. Y'all are putting way too much thought into this.

One thing I noticed about this album is son is putting his ego on full display. He feels entitled to praise and if u not giving it to him he's not fukking with u. He basically drew the line in the sand. While I respect it it also proves what I been saying about him right.

Entitled to praise is a bit of a stretch imo. It's morseo about integrity and standing on how you feel regardless of how other perceive you or your intentions. The SB announcement gave everybody a chance to do what they've BEEN wanting to do all year, which was shyt on him, but they had no real reason to do so. Never has there been so much emotion and rage about a a damn halftime performance announcement. Ever.
