do album rollouts really help now? back in the day, it would have, so people know they have to go out to the store to buy an album. in 2024, everyone is on instagram and twitter and people would find out about the album dropping the same night, or the next morning, and can stream it right away.

singles may build anticipation. but i'd argue that having a single like not like us, is what you want. so kendrick was already on everyones radar
