I hope kendrick never works with Dre, the guy is too old and hasn't made a non-generic beat since Relapse.

Dude literally adds random drums and bass to make the casual listeners believe he can still make good bangers lol

I'm actually real hyped for this because you never know what you're gonna get with Kendrick, but you know it's gonna be a complete well put together and thought out project, let's be honest, as much as I like a lot of their music you pretty much know exactly what you're getting with Drake, Wake, Sean, Cole ect.

What does age have to do with it? If Dre produces a great song with Kendrick, what would it matter if he were 55 or 75? To be honest, a lot of people dismissed the production on Compton and DJ Dahi was all over it, but are salivating over his contributions to Kendrick's new album. Not one note has been heard. Same goes for the 9th Wonder production and if we're honest about it, what was the last mind blowing dope song he produced?

I saw the tweet by Kendrick yesterday saying You can listen on iTunes. I live in Holland and can only hear Humble on iTunes. Is it different in the US?

in an interview dr dre said that he usually loves working on a first album, and then the artist has to make the shyt himself...but dre said it was different with Kendrick, he said kendrick was already a complete artist with his own sound before signing to a label.
Stat Quo and others have said Dre wasn't sold on Kendrick right away, but decided to go with it because everyone else in the building (including Em) could see he was dope. While he hasn't really worked with Kendrick much since GKMC his role is more on business side. TDE has access to him, his studio, etc. That can't be said of everyone on Aftermath/Interscope.

I left Interscope before GKMC came out but I remember basically everyone knew it was going to blow up. Dre changed his mind on Kendrick real quick. I think if anyone could get Dre back into the right mindset musically it's Kendrick.

I'll argue both sides of the coin. Because I'm not that interested in Dr. Dre at this point. I think there are active producers doing way more interesting things right now, and making better music. But you're exactly right. Age has nothing to do with being a producer. If anything, being older can help, especially if you're evolving and expanding your skills, and plus you're deeper with the skills you've already got.

Regarding 9th Wonder, I think he's got a lot of dope material with artists on his record label, Jamla, that a lot of people just haven't heard or may have missed.

He had some heat on Anderson .Paak's last project, and he produced the majority of Rapsody's EP that dropped last November, Crown. He had a slept on album with Murs and Talib Kweli each, in 2015. Random assorted joints here and there that are solid.

9th IMO isn't the dude you go to for something that you might use Dre for. But I think there's a lane that 9th fits into nicely.
