bumpin this shyt one more time to try and catch some lyrics...

1. DNA ain't about shyt lyrically. The beat rides tho.
2. YAH is ok. ain't really about shyt either but he's just talkin shyt.
3. ELEMENT is cool. Just aggressive/swag rap but he flowed on it and the beat is nice.
4. FEEL the first song that's about something/got a concept. shyt is nice. scratch that. this shyt fire.
5. LOYALTY hook, beat and flow are fire as fukk. the 2nd verses save the song from not being about shyt.
6. PRIDE sounds a Childish Gambino leftover. the music is nice. Lyrics ain't about shyt but he does say some nice things. Especially the 2nd verse
7. HUMBLE is what it is. Nice beat and random raps.
8. LUST the beat sounds like Vibrate from Outkast. nice random hood stories. but song ain't really saying shyt. Third verse is fire as shyt...but the song ain't got no concept man...what's the point of this music?
9. LOVE is a gotdamn hit record, meng. It's a good song, concept, beat, chorus, verses
10. XXX when the beat first drops is nice as fukk. random hood story rap. shyt is whatever to me. The last verse is fire as fukk tho...2nd time he does this to me.
11. FEAR is a classic rap record. Best song on the album.
12. GOD this song feels good. I like the lyrics on here too. I kinda zoned out on this one..gonna have to bump it again in the future
13. DUCKWORTH is a nice boombap beat. This is how you tell a story. Good shyt.

Overall this album average as hell with a couple of highs and many average moments

Same thing with his show here in Vancouver.


I tried getting 2 tickets and was on the website the minute they went on sale and somehow was still to late.

I was supposed to see him live when GKMC dropped. He was opening for kanye. But the day of the concert they couldn't get across the border in time to set up kanye elaborate stage..so they rescheduled. The day of again. Show gets cancelled because the truck with the stage gets in an accident and damages the stage.





And man the state of concerts is fukking horrible. I swear to god these companies ticketmaster and the like actually secretly own these resellers.

How the fukk can a concert be sold out within the first minute and by minute 2 the page is fukking filled with links to resale tickets marked up 1000%.


shyt should be illegal,not advertised on the same fukking page.


I refuse to miss this show though so I'm going to have pay an absurd amount

Kendrick ain't known for quotable lines in isolation (more of a story type rap etc) but "Take all the religions and put em in one service" line is such a striking quotable

What do you guys think "XXX" means? Surprised no one has talked about that. like what is the meaning? Can't really mean lust cause we have a song called Lust already

It's interesting to me that the beat switches three times in the song too. Each beat is a different train of thought about living in America, so maybe each X represents that.

Pride is the only song I skip regularly (sometimes lust if I'm not in the mood for his Andre 3000 impression) , the rest of this album is just dope.
