If you let the clowns say it, TPAB was alienated his fans!!!! His career is over due to that black racist empowerment album!!! Its a fake deep album and it sucks!!!! There are no bangers on this, no ones going to fukk with this!!!

:mjlol:

TPAB /UU was the greatest thing Kendrick done in his career after GKMC. Kendrick runs this rap shyt.
Yeah I didnt realize how shytty some peoples ear for music was until TPAB. Easily the best album objectively speaking that I've heard in over a decade. :whew: That album stopped all the one trick pony and longevity bullshyt statements many of his critics were saying.

you aint lie bruh. Before TPAB dropped, My personal best rap albums of the 21st century were Supreme Clientele, A Piece of Strange, Oneirology, Undun, MBDTF, GKMC, Late Registration, The Black Album, Madvillainy, The Collage Dropout and The Blueprint. Kendrick came along and dropped TPAB outta no were and it became my favourite rap album of all time. :wow::wow:

Best song on this album got Kendrick talking bout how he'll chip nikkaz then throw the blower in they laps tho
It's about what comes after that though. It's not mindless killing. It's a song about the forced hypocrisy we as black men are forced to live :wow:

On one hand, we want to love our brothers. Honor our brothers, mentor and Lead our brothers. But with the way our country is set up, we often have to do both hurt and love our brothers.

Which is what the song Is about.

Not just another song about murdering black people.

It's a revenge tale that highlights the destructive and hypocritical nature that is forced onto black men by the white man

Neither Flabby nor A corny elitist :umad:

Trying to figure out when Take Care became this underappreciated gem that people skipped over. It's his best work, but not a classic album by any means. There's no classic album that doesn't have universal acclaim ALONG with resonating with a group of people. Take Care doesn't have the former. And we can go on critics for all we want, and I do at times. But we all for the most part agree on the classics. :yeshrug:

Resonating with a generation of people doesn't much because To The Extreme did the same thing, there's a group of people who know that album front and back and no one in their right mind is calling that a classic.

Being a sheep would be calling an album that went double platinum with multiple hits an automatic classic.

The Weeknd released classics that year though :francis:
It wasn't underappreciated it actually resonated with people in real time and continued to do well in slow burn...

There are plenty of classics that weren't "universally acclaimed" but they are still classics because they resonated in real time with actual people regardless of what critics said or became accepted over time. Take Care was actually critically acclaimed by various publications the Fantanos brought its MetaCritic score to a 78 that's still shytting on most mainstream releases of this generation. Album made plenty end year lists and won plenty of awards, it has been in classic discussions from sources, it is an acclaimed album.

Stillmatic by Nas, has a 69 MetaCritic score...
It Was Written by Nas, hated on by backpackers and accused Nas of selling out and going through a sophomore slump...

Why the fukk are you comparing Take Care to a fukking Vanilla Ice album? I'm not calling Take Care a classic because of multiple hits, the best thing about Take Care are the album cuts like Cameras, Lord Knows, The Real Her, The Ride, Under Ground Kings. The album resonated in real time with the people, the tour was massive, Crew Love shuts venues down over 5 years later.

You keep saying this like I'm so old head I was a s
in high school for Take Care. I was there in real time. I was young in real time. I had some of the best nights of my life to Take Care. That whole Winter was lit and he topped it off a few months later with that Stay Schemin verse. So I know what it did for our generation. And I appreciate it for that for sure, but the music, is not classic material. The moments? Yes. But the music ain't classic. And that's my favorite Drake album after SFG, or maybe on par with SFG

Nah, most true classics have the acclaim. It's the forced Stan classics that don't. It's not shytting on much. Both of YG's albums (both better than Take Care) have higher scores. So does DS2. So does every Kendrick album. It was a good project and a step up from Thank Me Later, but not classic.

Stillmatic is not classic. Classic tracks, but not a classic project. And Nas is my favorite rapper all time.

A whole 5 years? :krs:

Like I said, Take Care has classic tracks, but it also has filler. I love that project. It's very good, but not seen as a classic by the GP, or anyone with any knowledge of music.

It's still a great project and one that helped define a year.

Nikka you around my age, from the same city, and you basically admitting to it with this post that Take Care is a classic. Music is about the moments. I'm not going to sit down and pretend the only classics coming out are the albums Kendrick is dropping because of high reviews lol, that's bullshyt.

YG don't got no albums better than Take Care :mjlol:, what is this based off reviews? My Krazy Life has an 80 based off 16 reviews, Take Care has a 78 based off 34 reviews. The scope is nowhere near the same. More Life right now has an 82 based off 24 reviews, more than any YG or Future album. My Krazy Life is a pretty good modern West Coast release but its clearly not better than Take Care. The best songs on Take Care are bigger and better than anything on My Krazy Life. C'mon son.

Stillmatic is a classic album to a WHOLE lot of people. Stillmatic Intro, 2nd Childhood, You're da Man, Destroy & Rebuild, 2nd Childhood, Rewind, One Mic, The Flyest. That's most of the album, everybody remembers this coming out the ETHER on Jay, this is a time in hip-hop history captured by this album.

Yeah, 5 years I don't hear shyt from To Pimp A Butterfly or untitled unmastered albums critics slobbed just what a year and a half later? Why? Because them albums did not resonate with the people. Which is why Kendrick has one classic good kid, M.a.a.d. City because people loved songs like Money Trees, Poetic Justice, BDKMV, etc. These songs got serious play in streets, moments were created to these songs.

The only songs on Take Care I consider filler are Make Me Proud and We'll Be Fine, the album is like 20 tracks that's a great batting average. An album that defines its time period is a classic.

hey man I am doing it professionally, shout outs to @LinusCaldwell :salute:

No metacritic. Even if it was it would be weighed very low, vs a bigger review in like the NY Times for instance. That's how metacritic gets their 90s. The bigger reviews are weighed higher.
The parrallels you made between Untitled Unmastered and how it ties up with DAMN. :damn:
