Cole makes boring music. Kendrick does not.
I get so irked at the "lil johnny don't wanna go to school no mo, no more" part
I been spinning this a lot. The only song that I really like is XXX, the first half is some of my favorite production on a Kendrick record. The second half sounds like the parts of GKCM that I liked.
Originally I liked it a little more than I do after a large amount of listens. Outside of XXX though the production is really underwhelming to me, there are a lot of intro/outro beats that are better than most of the actual songs, seems like he does that a lot.

Xxx is the continuation of the story of johnny as the family tries to come to grips with johnnies loss and kendrick can only tell them if it was him someone would be getting killed which shows that despite Kendricks positivity he says he'd avenge his loved one.
