and the song has been the most played song on streaming services since its release

Nas is the best ever for me but he has too many weak albums just like jay z that kendrick has a real chance of surpassing him. Also tpab is a better album than illmatic and i consider illmatic to be an all time great album.

Yep. Put aside gkmc, Mbdtf, tpab, new tribe album and atrocity exhibition. S80 and undun are albums that have not been topped by mainstream rappers.

Going to just start putting these obvious hype boosting accounts on ignore. They not even discussing shyt in here. Just come and drop a 1 liner saying how the album is out of this world and bounce.

Great album, only song I don't like is Humble. Like someone else said the songs stand well enough on their own and aren't just pieces of a larger narrative like TPAB. Don't know where I'd rank this in his discography yet, have to give it a few more listens but this album feels the most "hip hop" to me out of his whole catalog

Nope, stuff like Rewind, One Love, and Undying Love are succinct and don't use a word more than is needed.....then you have stuff like Duckworth.

Breh I could argue that Nas on average has more words per bar than Kendrick.
He's been a multi-syllabic rapper from the jump and is a direct heir to
Rakim/G-Rap. "Succinct" has never been his thing, dude loves being
highly descriptive.

He's also prone to creating one-off characters much like his homie on for example
"One love".
For some reason this criticism isn't applicable now when earlier it made Kendrick
"shallow" or "lacking in depth".

Ignoring that his family (Like keisha for example...) are recurring themes in his music.
She's literally mentioned on three of his albums.

He admitted that peer pressure played a huge part in his life and that he didn't like gangbanging. Why are u calling a black man a fool for wanting to better himself and other black people around him in the hood. A man who hates black on black violence etc. some suspect shyt going on here.
