GKMC did have a few radio tracks, but they were more apart of a theme album vs DAMN being more of Kendrick making stand-alone jams

Loyalty > Poetic Justice if u ask me

Nah poetic justice and swimming pools are way more catchy then anything on damn

I'd be shocked if he has a huge hit with any of these songs

This album is for listeners who didn't have the patience to digest TPAB and wanted something "dumbed down". Kendrick is returning to a simpler style he displayed early in his career but with majority of the songs being more melodic. I love TPAB to death but how far outside the hip hop realm could he possibly gone? I felt if he dropped another TPAB it would had alienated more listeners and fell short. Untitled Unmastered was TPAB pt.2 anyways.

But yeah I can see this easily becoming Kendrick's most accessible album since GKMC.

A carbon copy of what? It's a dope song, it's the song that made the album take so long for me to listen to in full.

And miss me with some "copy" of some Drake song when he's fukking Frankenstien....

nikkas mad they like a song they would otherwise hate if the rapper was different

Duckworth might be onto something after all :loldenzel2:

:why: is this so polarizing on The Coli??? I'm seeing and hearing universal praise everywhere else.

I don't understand what some of you are saying. Someone really called "Love" the worst Kendrick Lamar song? The fukk? DNA and XXX corny? Production is lacking? Damn I just don't know why there's such a gap in these comments. I'll bet the reviewers give this heavily positive reviews.

Some dudes just love to go against the grain :francis:

Everybody loves it so I must shyt on it.. :gucci:

Sorry but about 7 tracks in and this album bores me. Not feeling the beats and it makes him seem uninspired rhyne wise. I'm expecting him to put out something new like a different sound but he's just doing the same dated shyt that already sounds played out. That trap sound is dated. The only good song that I liked is DNA.
Word! and there's one track that sounds like something Andre3k trashed in studio session while making A Love Below
