Right?

I was gonna dismiss this as soon as I saw it, but Thundercat's absence on DAMN and the 3Stacks influences on LUST made me do a double take. Look at that fukking production team...

VA. Living in the City of Angels
Death 2 The Leadr - Tracklist acronym

Kendrick dies on the intro and outro of DAMN.

Red Pill, Blue Pill

Tell me somethin'
You mothafukkas can't tell me nothin'
I'd rather die than to listen to you
My DNA not for imitation
Your DNA an abomination
This how it is when you're in the Matrix
Dodgin' bullets, reapin' what you sow
And stackin' up the footage, livin' on the go
And sleepin' in a villa
Sippin' from a Grammy and walkin' in the buildin'
- Kendrick Lamar (DNA)

Yeah.. It's a Double Album

I keep seeing this part about the Death 2 the Leader acronym. I think I'm slow cuz I keep looking at the tracklisting and not seeing that no matter how many times I re-arrange. Can you or someone please dumb it down for a breh and show me this :pachaha:

I love the bass lines on this record.
PRIDE. for example has such a dope intro.
The harmonizing.
That bassline creeping up on you.
The way that simulated vinyl pop fades in slowly.

The way the bass line falls out and comes back in on FEEL.
I get those James Jamerson vibes. The bass is tasteful and
always serving a purpose, adding to the groove and keeping the
listeners intenterested. Listen to how it becomes more prominent
in the track's mix as it goes on especially once you hit 2:49 and
Kendrick's whole flow gets hurried and urgent.

LUST. So many shades of Outkast and Beastie Boyz, love the basslines on that song.
DUCKWORTH and it's intro.
XXX and it's intro then that mean ass bassline once the beat switch hits.

Every time this dude drops an album, you get some (or really quite a few) songs that are
fukking masterclasses in constructing a great song top to bottom regardless
of Genre IMO.

The musicality here is great to me and that's without talking about what he's touching
on in these songs.
