And this is what is comes down to. Casual hip hop fans, that don't understand the technical aspect of hip hop. Kendrick is technical as hell, and I have problems all the time reciting some of his lyrics, because of the way his flow is constantly changing in his songs. Like on "Alright" that last verse

Haha what you misunderstood was the motive, it ain't out of spite, I like to entertain some of these bold claims you make. So I just wanted to apply the same level of scrutiny to see what the reasoning would be.

well... except that Kendrick's context is nothing special and there are no stand out lines.

Even in 2nd childhood, a context driven song, there are standout lines. That's my point.
