Billboard has had more horrible takes on music than good ones, why the fukk would I care what billboard said?
Because thats literally THEIR chart and its just common sense.

Even htdd reported Lamar moved an average of 28m streams per song, these are numbers you rarely see in music...its almost impossible to do more:mjlol:

Gnx is literally the first "short" album to rank among the best streamed rap albums ever.

You can't do better with streaming with only 12 songs :mjlol:

Chart is just data

The article on billboard is an opinion piece written from an employee. No different than article from Rolling Stone.

I can't believe this nikka compared the sales pulled in 2024 by an album released in late november to one released at the beginning of the year, and thought it was an evidence that Kendrick's didn't have the biggest album, when he clearly did :dead:

It would be like saying Not Like Us wasn't the biggest rap song to drop in 2024 if it dropped in november :dead:

And fukking LOL at claiming the south got the 3rd biggest streamed rap song (after NLU and don't even remember the name of #2) when the only reason it's on the podium is because Kendrick is also on it.

No wonder other regions aren't at the top when their fans are this dumb.

With the likes of Jay Worthy, G Perico, RiP Drakeo

1 guy is deceased and the other two have been rapping —-with admirable regional fame—- forever

Some of you need a reminder that everybody ain’t gon become Taylor swift

I just came back from probably my 6th, 7th Currensy concert in DC and it’s always sold out and everybody always knows every word. That’s making it! Stop trying to force more than that. Especially in the streaming era, the avg fan is more hip than you think. But just bc people know who a jay worthy or g perico or Larry June is, doesn’t mean some star turn is coming. They are as famous as they ever will be and that’s perfectly ok

Never said they were stars. Just big parts of a thriving underground scene

Drake FATD follow up weeks were weaker than Kendrick's gnx, despite gnx only having half of the songs.

Drake's release only had better 1st week sales because it had twice as many songs available on streaming.
HTDD made the calculation, and claimed kendrick's numbers were far more impressive considering it was a short release, and the individual songs were far more streamed than Drake's songs.

You're comparing a 23 tracks project vs 12, in a world where the most songs you have = the better sales
FATD was the most streamed rap album last year. Third most streamed overall. And keep in mind Drake doesnt do bundles, and stopped doing physicals after Scorpion so his opening numbers are weaker than could be. Saying it only did better because of more songs despite having the best legs of any rap album is absurd.

Objectively it is true. Disregarding all numbers, We Dont Trust You had far more of an impact than GNX. It started everything. The story of rap for 2024 starts with that album.

Thanks for the good laugh.
Not only they didn't come out at the same time, since gnx dropped a month later, but if you compare their first 10 weeks (gnx only been available for that amount of time), GNX beat Chroma each and every week:comeon:
