gnx did 1 milli in less than 2 months
chroma did 1 milli in 3 months

And right now, Gnx is still pulling over 60k a week, while Chroma is barely moving anything.

these are indeed two very recent albums, yet gnx has better total sales despite the other album having benefited from an entire additional month of sales


And gnx physicals are only getting calculated next month

The genre is dying a slow death and yall can’t even see it. DSPs are going to make sure of it as the streaming model doesn’t work and will soon come to cannabalize everything. Then twitch and kik streamers is where the money is going. Wait till you see AI start flooding the market. The beef in 2024 was the start of the end. Theres a reason they started posting in 2023 and 2024 that hip hop was no longer #1 like the music industry only dependent on hip hop. The umg vs tik tok got swept under the rug. Those hip hop label layoffs that happened last summer got swept under the rug. Most people forgot because they only want to be entertained. As they always say follow the money. Thats why new artists aren’t breaking.

I don't care about the politics and who's records they were, The Game had nikkas back on Cali once again, did 2.5, was going straight at 50 at his height after selling the most of any Gunit member, and still was making moves right up until he started dissing dre. Dude was in hollywood movies and shyt.

For however it turned out for him, The Game was the guy in Cali for a good long while in the early 2000s. He really brought the bloods back. Had a lot to do with blessing Wayne and Dipset to run wild with the blood shyt in hip-hop. Wasn't no super blood rappers of that era, in that era, at the time. Now everybody a blood like the crips just disappeared.


But that's Cali. It's too fukking big. It's right up there with NY but every rapper in NY is 95% from NYC. Cali is all spread out, you got so much different ranges of rap and rappers. Everybody famous has to go there so you're likely to be more creative, being around creatives. Weather is always nice so everybody outside all the time. Everybody know everybody so the old heads always got some young talent. So every era, one of them nikkas is going to pop up and they usually sell out and go crazy. NWA, Dre, Snoop, Game, Tyler, Kendrick, call Pac what you want but I didn't hear about him before he was in Cali

If Cali didn't have earthquakes and wild fires, it would be the goat state. And I lived on the East coast 95% of my life.
