I wasn't interested in this game and I'm still not, but I'm glad it ended up turning out okay.

I took the god of war comparison one early reviewer made with a grain of salt but I get it now…from the waypoint markings etched on the stone/climbing surfaces to the fighting companion(s) to the grueling combat…my complaint ironically was the same complaint I had about god of war initially…but the combat is truly superb…if they add full dualsense 5 functionality and NG+ I would absolutely play through it again

About how long it take you to finish? I clocked in just under 20 hours, playing on True Spirit Guide (hard) mode. I'd say maybe an hour or two of that was idle time tho. So a the very least 16-17 hours of true playtime.

18 hours with minimal effort made to explore areas other than looking to obtain rots…ended up finding 61 in total which was just short of level 4 which is the max needed to get all powers/abilities (only one required level 4 status tho)…there are still large areas of the game I haven’t explored

I had a total of 75 rots when I beat the game and all the powers acquired. I explored a decent amount. Some areas that I could go back to, I just didn't as I was pushing towards the end by that point Didn't get the Spirit Mails in all places, which was the main other thing that I had wanted to do to access the additional challenge areas.
